To play the game.
What's the point of playing
Angry Birds
CoD
Battlefield
Madden
any other video game

For entertainment. Some just forget that in this particular instance, their entertainment idea has to conform to certain rules because there are 11 other players who want their entertainment as well. If you want to drop anyway you like and play the game outside of publicly ruled drop queues, use private matches. Posted Image

Hey all the same to me. Don't have mechs to master or need cbills. With CW I feel like I have a goal to work towards by grinding out loyalty points...not that I really need any of the rewards. At the end of the day it just comes down to shooting big stomp robots, which is highly entertaining.

Whats the point in solo / group que?

Enjoyable games in which you are actually matched against similar skill for starters. It's why Group queue stinks to high heaven thanks to PSR averaging.

That said, it's also good for quick "I wanna blow up a few mechs" for those with limited time, those without friends in game, or those who are not interested in socializing but just want to play.

Lots of super lengthy replies, where one word is sufficient.

Fun.
