Blood Asp is 3060 though. I know the timeline is barely a thing, but you may as well ask for the TBR 2.

I'd rather have the Supernova. Clan battlemech, 90 tons. You can put any engine in there, and PGI has done pretty well designing the other chicken walkers (except for the walking animations, maybe). Since PGI has started creating their own variants, the lack of variants is not an issue.

The Blood Asp looks incredible (both in terms of meta and coolness) but it's not in the current timeline, and as far as I know PGI isn't advancing the timeline for this new mech.

So your argument falls flat on its arse.

You can say lots of things about PGI not keeping up with Lore, but they never released a Mech that was ahead of the current Timeline (we have 3050).

The production year of the Blood Asp 3060.

I don't think it's so much the production year holding back the Blood Asp, but the fact that it uses heavy lasers which aren't in the game yet.

It kind of does though. The Blood Asp is important in lore for being one of the first production Clan omnimechs to make use of heavy lasers, not to mention half of its canon configurations use heavy lasers. It would be like having the Timber Wolf in-game without being able to build its iconic Prime configuration.

Laser heatsinks would be a cool feature. They could reduce damage caused by overheating, but make the 'mech into a distracting light show, which would in turn make it a target for everyone on the other team.

Oh, I am a Nova Cat, not a Smoke Jaguar. In the spectrum of disappointments, that is about the least of them.

Under-capable Shadow Cat in MWO, no Huntsman in MWO, no Supernova in MWO, no clan representation in MWO whatsoever, no subforum to at least attempt to help in recruitment, the official timeline having us roll over for House Kurita for no real good reason despite the tremendous help we gave the Inner Sphere in stopping further Clan invasions, the way WizKidz decided to obliterate the Clan through BS lore means because Nova Cat teams were basically undefeated in their official tournaments.... List goes on and on and on.
