Thanks for all the well wishes.

To answer a few questions, Marack is past 19. And this is actually the fourth time he has attempted suicide. He has tried 3 other times since he was 16. He has had counseling and therapy but it seems it hasn't been any good and nothing has ever seemed to help him. One moment he will be a cheerful easy to get along with guy and the next moment he just has a wave of depression hits him and it just goes downhill from there.

He is a great friend and has always been there for every person he knew. Even flying to Virginia so he could hold his friend's hand when she died... which evidently must be what sparked this whole ordeal. He just has no sense of self worth.

If he has physical depression stemming from a disorder, and not the awful things he's already gone through in life, he may need to take medication everyday. I'm well aware of the stigma of anti-depressants, but I'm not talking about Prozac. For people with conditions unrelated to social depression, there isn't an alternative. My sister has fought a similar battle to Marack since she was a teenager (now 38). I've seen most of the low points, which were frequent, and spontaneous. She was off and on medication many times, but always stopped after some time. For the past few years though, she has taken medication everyday, and she's wonderful, and feels wonderful too. She has disorders that simply cannot be overcome through sheer force of will, they have to be treated.

Chris has unfortunately been diagnosed with several psychological conditions, even before all this happened. Clinical Depression, Social Anxiety Disorder (which even around his closest friends he had major problems with), and even Dissociative Identity Disorder as well. I don't know if anything else has attributed to it, but he has had a really rough time.

As for medication... well I don't know if he ever had any, but if he did he is scared to death of medications of any kind. During recovery from his car accident he refused to take pain meds of any kind, he refused to get vaccinated unless forced too, and just tons of other things. Even if he did have medication I doubt he would ever have taken it. He is a stubborn *** when it comes to taking care of himself.

According to his closest friend he stopped eating probably 3 weeks ago. And I must say everyone could tell. Before this all happened he looked as though he had lost 20 or more pounds. I honestly hardly recognized him at times because his face has hollowed out so much. He even stopped drawing and writing, and from what I can tell even his girlfriend wasn't able to get anything out of him at all.

So at this point I think there will need to be a lot of therapy, lots of medication, and he may even end up in a ward... I don't know. They are getting a psychologist now to evaluate him soon.

Update-

Marack was just released from the hospital. He was evaluated and it was decided he would need a lot of therapy and would start very soon. He has not been committed to a ward, but he will be under watch for a very long time, and must have someone with him at all times for suicide watch.

I told him all what you said, and he is very thankful. He may be allowed to get online soon possibly. The psychologist thought socialization of any kind would help improve his state, so hopefully he will show up around here again.

Much hugs, Marack, from someone going through quite similar mental issues. It might be raining today. It might rain tomorrow. It might rain for the rest of the week. But someday, it will be sunny.

Also, have a puppy. Because puppies cheer me up when I'm feeling terrible.

I just want you all to know I am okay right now. I have started therapy again, and I am taking medication now, and things are getting a little better. Thank you all so much for all your support. It means a lot.

I'm incredibly glad to hear that. Life's worth living, and while it may be that death is the thing that gives life meaning and value, there's no reason to rush to the end. It's all about the journey. Posted Image

You may not believe me when I say this, but glad to hear from you Marack! Never would have forgiven you for leaving without ever having faced you in a match. Now put some spitfire back in to these forums, I haven't felt the need to ragequit from them in far too long!
