This mech looks substantially smaller and with on average higher mounts then the other mechs in this weight. Also the dead space on it is interesting. The torso tapers in a way shots can go through air. I wonder if the arms being so narrow will leave the side torsos open to hits. But if that is the only issue well this mech looks great for the weight class. Good weapons load outs and small profile. However it is the only one I need to see on the field prior to purchase.

The one thing I did notice was that the 70 ton Grasshopper looked gigantic compared to the 70 ton Warhammer.

It's got a small profile, and it looks like the CT will be rather small as well. It looks promising, but the CT sticks out a bit like the Loki's (Hellbringer's). This will make torso twisting a bit more difficult, but I'm optimistic this will be an excellent heavy.

I thought quirks were fine. They're not OP, but not worthless either. The PPC quirks throw a couple build ideas out the window, but they worked fine on the Marauder. *shrugs*

Tanky and mobile, not amazing weapon quirks but not bad. Some of the good ones, including heat generation. BW I'm not hugely impressed with, but being the only one with more than 2 ballistic slots it still gives unique options, including asymmetric options.

The 4 cannons alone are going to take up almost half the weight of the mech. Not going to leave much left for armor, ammo, or backup weapons.

I am allergic to XL engines above 40 tons though lol. Structure quirks will for sure help.

Mocking up a Cataphract 4X, you could do a slow BW with std250, quad AC5 and 6 tons of ammo. Strip most armor off the arms to do it. Bigger XL is possible if you don't mind the fragility of an IS XL on a not very fast platform. With face tanky AC5s I'm not sold but I'll try it.

More optimistic about a dual AC20 personally.

There are quite a few 'mechs out there that have some rather crazy quirks. I should also point out the BJ-1 is a 45 tonner, while the Warhammer weighs in at 70 tons. I'm not saying tonnage is everything (My best two 'mech weigh in at 50 and 60 tons.), but the quirks are probably lower than other 'mechs because it can fit a lot more gun, armor, etc. If it does horribly, the quriks might be tweaked, but I don't see it doing that bad.

PPC quirks apply to both PPCs and ER PPCs.

ER PPC quirks ONLY apply to ER PPCs.

Because reasons.

PPC quirks are general, they apply to ER-PPCs as well. This makes having PPC quirks better. Sort of like Standard Laser quirks.

I will be unhappy with PGI if the huge side torsos can also be hit from the side due to the narrow arms. That piece of metal the arm is attached to better be arm hit box...
