The Hammerhands is the precursor to the Warhammer and was phased out in favor of the Whammy. It doesn't technically show up again until the Jihad because factions were reviving old models because of the ease of producing old tech.

My question is, should PGI make variant/s Hammerhands for the Whammy? Or should they just release the Hammerhands?

Well there is a 5t difference between the Whammy (70) and Hamnerhands (75t), personally I'm more in favour of shipping over the Hamnerhands, as she is slower (3/5/3) even though she has JJ's...

Right, the HH would need some Bounty Hunter style love to be good. (Increased engine cap).

I wouldn't mind an Age of War pack with the Hammerhands, Battle Axe, etc. Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing the Mackie either.

I would like them to take the mechs with only one or two variants and group them if it makes sense like the battleaxe/hammerhands. It's either that or have unique variants to MWO.

I am not sure if it would be worth it.

1) Such 'Mechs are in the game already
CTF-4X Cataphract - for C-Bills
CTF-IM Cataphract "Ilya Muromets" - for MCs

2) Hammerhands was slower than Warhammer, so it would have lower engine cap, although with jump jets.

Really, if you want to try how it would be to ride Hammerhands, buy CTF-4X. You will get something very similar. It has those low arms with ballistic hardpoints, very similar type and number of hardpoints, low speed and the same weight.
