2 games now that were close.... both in our base.

Had 2 mechs that were down to nothing but knew I was on my way to losing the fight....So I drop an arty strike right on them (100m away) and figure I might soften them up or whatever as I go down. Both times I die before the strikes hit even though the smoke was dropped and they were standing right in it. Never saw the strikes hit or activate....

So does your death nullify your strikes even though you have them activated and smoke is down? Have a vid on both where there was nothing.... and mechs standing practically in the smoke. Both times I died as I dropped smoke...

Hope this isn't how it works....

Also, does the break down of the score reflect airstrike/arty dmg? I have had hits with them and even a kill but never really noticed any points for them.

Damage is affected by Strikes.

Were you the last mech alive? The match ending causes damage to stop being calculated (IE, falling 5KM won't kill you if the match ends, nor will any Strike).

If you weren't...the strike probably missed. If the match is still running, and a strike is dropped, even if you die, you should get the damage/kills.

Unless it's recently changed (as there hasn't been a recent patch, that shouldn't be the case).

I was second to last...just looked at video and literally died within seconds of dropping smoke...Couldn't see if hits were being made bc I was in my death animation.... Looked at score screen and nothing mentioned for the hits but clearly in vid of this last one smoke was a part of their paint job,....

Ok actually looks like it did.... I was 497dmg upon death (score screen) and 524dmg on end results of match. False alarm...didn't catch that until now. "After further review of the play on the field.... The player's knee was down across the goal line..TOUCHDOWN!!"

Once started, airstrikes, artillery strikes and UAVs will be executed and running to their full extend, no matter whether you die or not. Unless the match ends after your death because you have been last.

You can actually see many people stepping off with artillery strikes.
