In which case i keep my multiplier, so no harm done, other than having to play one round on that accursed map. Rarely happens tbh, im careful on rounds when Bog has any percentage chance of winning.

Assault, a major game mode which used to be the best/most exciting is now the most pathetic...

There is nothing to "Assault". It should currently be renamed, ring-a-roses.

Just a simple revert to how it was would be ace ! (feel free to swap the laser turrets with PPC's so lights can evade them, if that's why they were removed).

It was the auto hit super deadly twin LRM10 turrets, the ML turrets were not that bad and easily taken out when approached right.

Ain't gonna make any difference having arms with critted equipment on it.
They should focus on adding a variety of quirks to the torsi. Right now it's just +armour and +structure, basically.
If they just moved the ECM hardpoint to the MLX-C Right Torso, that would already be a huge leap (pun!) for the Mist Lynx.

I totally disagree. Some of the durations are already atrocious, so maybe upping the heat, cooldown, or some other indirect solution.

On the flipside, maybe they should just make all beam weapons "continuous", IE: Change the internal timer so they fire continuously like flamers. If the Laser is on, it's firing. If it's off, it's not. I've always thought it's silly for beam lasers to function the way they do.
If you step back a moment and think about laser beams IRL: While they're on, they're on; While they're off, they're off.

Doing this to beam lasers would bring pulse lasers back into the spotlight. Pulse lasers having a short duration makes sense, because the energy is compressed into short pulses at the expense of tonnage and heat.

Nice, but I never will buy a package in advance before I have all the information about hardpoints, quirks and so on.

Any more salt out of you and we will have to call Riot for their next patch so we know everyone will hate it, and the salt farm can continue.

Seriously though, no mech is irredeemable. Yeah not every mech can been as good as the Timberwolf, but that by no means says that the warhammer sucks. Thats like saying the Atlas sucks because the KGC can do specific things better, ignoring the fact that the atlas has much more survivability compared to the KGC, and better 'all comers' builds, not to mention it has a variant with ECM.

Every mech has a place in the game. Just because it cant be everything all the time doesnt mean it sucks. Were you here for all the bitching and bellyaching about the Marauder and how much it was going to 'suck', and lo and behold its actually a pretty damn good mech (almost as good as the timby, but not quite).

As a legendary founder, I have bought almost every mech package in the game (legendary founder, all clan waves, urban collector + hero, both resistance waves, marauder and archer and warhammer collectors + hero) and several mastery packages. And not a single purchase I have been disappointed with, because I know every mech has its own place/role in the game. The only 2 packages I didnt buy were the Project Phoenix (I really wish I had bought it, but my PC was broken and I was saving up money to buy a new one) and the Origins IIC (I wasn't going to buy the same 4 mechs all over again just so I can play them with clanners).

You just have to play to the strengths of your mech, and not to the strengths of the enemy's mechs. Its honestly not that hard.

The Origins mechs barely need any quirks, if at all. They are IS mechs with all the sexy, sexy Clan upgrades, without all the disappointment. I mean you ******* get XL engines without having to worry about a blown torso instantly killing your mech. The IIC mechs pretty much get all the best parts of clan and IS without almost any drawbacks. Please tell me how you need MORE buffs to already upper tier mechs? Thats like asking for the Timberwolf to get more quirks because the few ballistic hardpoints cant keep up with a KGC.

While I'm quite bored of laser boats myself, extending laser duration is the worst way to nerf lasers. Long durations make them suck to use, and result in way, way more friendly fire as there's these looooong beams of death all over the place.

Just wrecking a weapon to fix a meta is the wrong way to go - it just results in a different meta with the alternative weapons being broken. Not just "not as good", but in this case actually broken. Long laser durations are terrible.

Love this new update.
DMG numbers? I really dont want numbers popping up like confetti, like in certain games, like in WOW Posted Image It would be so out of place. Hope its cockpit screen/ monitor related.

Great new map! Looks like a lurmers and surmers dream, especially a great map for the former. Hoping for no centralized magnetic-middle map-showdown focus. Gotta get my LRM focused mechs ready for this map, looks really nice! If there are trench like features then good for surmers too.

While I agree that nerfing laser duration would not be good for the weapon or the meta, something DOES need to be done about lasers. The meta has become almost entirely built around laser alpha's that can melt the CT of an atlas/kgc in 2 volleys. Thats bad for the meta as well. Especially with how clan weapons are as it is (better range), and the lack of intermediate ranges for IS lasers. For IS, you have a small laser (.5 ton) that can barely kick a duck in front of you, a medium laser (1 ton) that doesnt really hit much further than the small laser. And the only thing that hits further is a large laser, and that jumps up to 5 tons, around 500 meter range. outside of ERLL, the only other option is PPC's.

If you want to fix laser alpha meta thats dominating the game, your going to have to update ghost heat when firing multiple lasers to the point that alpha'ing will shut you down. Either that or nerf laser ranges (which is bad for everyone), or buff the other weapon types to be more effective to the point where its not such a tradeoff when comparing energy weapons vs ballistic and missile. Because unless you fix alpha firing, lasers are just going to be the go to weapon no matter what.
Ballistic weapons have a hard dropoff for damage ranges, have limited ammo and the bigger versions (ac10/20) generate a **** ton of heat. Missiles generate a moderate chunk of heat, but either have ****** range, or ****** tracking (good luck finding someone who narcs or tags in PUGtown) and the missile velocity+distance more often than not means your lucky if it hits the target by the time it gets there, not to mention limited ammo.
Compare that to energy which has no ammo, has better ranges (by comparison to the other options) and softer falloff damage, and is direct fire thats guaranteed to do damage as long as you can touch the mech with your target icon (unlike AC and missiles which can easily miss, especially when aiming for faster mechs). Energy weapons have too much good going for them and not enough drawbacks. All you have to worry about is heat, but who cares when you can alpha strike a mech and kill them in 2 volleys?

New Polar map is really bad as its a LRM duel no skill needed , it needs more buildings or raised ground for Lrm cover , as it stands its a bad design which is a shame as it looked promising but its not fun to get pounded into the ground before you can fire off any lasers.
