Does name change reset friends?

I checked the notes and all I found was the new file location resets the client side settings, but I could not find anything about the server side.

I am pretty sure in the past people contacted PGI to do this for them, but I am not sure how that impacted the question above then or now.

If I missed an easy google or it was in front of my nose; I await the wrath of hell from mommy's basements everywhere.
