Hi, after this latest patch was installed I'm having an issue on the Skills Page
When I open the skills window for the Raven it does not show the correct mechs.
Here are the facts:
--The line up is missing the Raven RVN 3L(C) which I own one of (no, not the trial mech).
--The line up indicates that I own 2 RVN 3L's of which I only own one
--The line up displays a "Mech Tree" for the RVN 4x which I don't even own. Note: I used to own a RVN 4X, which I recently sold for a RVN 3L
--When I click on the "Mech Tree" for the RVN 3L it indicates that I have unlocked all of the basic upgrades, of which I haven't unlocked any.

Summary: What I believe happened is that somehow the 3L(C) got merged with my new 3L. I believe that because the 3L(C) doesn't even show up in the line up, and IT had all of the basic upgrades unlocked in the mech tree NOT the 3L (like it shows now). Plus it is indicating that I own 2 3L's, yet I only own one.

Then to make things worse you're providing me with a mech tree for the 4X even though I don't even own one??

I'm curious if anyone else has run into similar bugs in their skills window?

I think I can explain this one (not a bug).

Champion variants share the same XP as the variant without the (C) at the end. Nowhere in the game is this explained, mind you. Effectively, the 3L(C) counts towards the 3L skill pool.

Anyway, That's the issue I'm having. It almost appears that someone did this deliberately becasue I had been building up to owning and upgrading these 3 mechs (to finally unlock their elite abilities) since I started the game. After all of the grinding I FINALLY purchased the 3rd mech and now can't even get the satisfaction of the accomplishment I was working so hard towards. That's why it seems so obviously deliberate. Someones subtle way of saying fk you, at the first climactic moment of the game, I mean, of all the "bugs" and "glitches" I've run across in games this ones my favorite. Regardless of this petty annoyance, I find the game quite enjoyable

I'm curious if anyone else has run into similar bugs in their skills window?

The pilot skill tree unlocks efficencies for ALL 'mechs of the same chassis-variant you might own. Be that one, two or twenty Raven-3L.

Champion 'mechs are just basic 'mech variants that come with an increase in xp earned per match and a different (often somewhat optimized) default loadout
The 3L(C) and 3L are the same variant, have the same weapon hardpoints, engine cap and quirks.

Skills you unlock for the 3L also apply to the 3L(C) and vice versa. There is only one skill tree for that raven variant (the behaviour is the same for all champion 'mechs and their base-variants).

Hero 'mechs on the other hand, like the Huggin for example, are completely new variants of that chassis (different hardpoints, etc.) and as such come with their own skill-trees.

As to the 4X, you said yourself you did own one of those. You don't "unlearn" or lose any XP/unlocked skills when you sell a 'mech, they are permanently linked to your account. Should you at any point in the future buy a new 4X it will have all the XP and skills you unlocked with the one you sold.

So there is no bug or glitch at all. To add insult to injury you will have to purchase ANOTHER raven variant, too. The 3L(C) and 3L count as the SAME variant, as I wrote earlier.

None of this is your fault, of course. Documentation for these things is basic at best. You could try to e-mail support to get the second raven 3L you bought refunded/exchanged for another variant.

Yep, no bug here. I highly recommend the Raven 4X with 2xLPL, XL255 and one jump jet. So fun!

The 2X I've never had good luck with for some reason. But unless you want Huggin, you'll need the 2X for mastery.

<*reads thread*>

Uhh... OregonGrwer, that's NOT a bug... PGI just didn't document changes/enhancements properly. :(

Wow! Hat's off to the MechWarrior Online community. I expected to get flamed by you guys for my rant, but instead you guys have posted positive and informative replies. That's pretty bad a$$. Thanks guys. And I'll certainly try your suggestion LD. With all of the available configs it can be a bit daunting when experimenting. So your recommendation is very appreciated. I may be new at this game, but I'm making progress. Heck, I even figured out what 2xLPL without having to google it! XD

Alot of MWO players use this site to find loadouts that might work/they might enjoy. It helps to avoid buying things you'll regret afterwards, gives tons of useful information and is quite easy to navigate (just click on one of the 'mech-designations in the list to get to the mechlab).
