Miscreants are slinging fraudulent Chrome extension trojans at gamers that, if installed, will empty victims’ Steam inventory.

Some serious **** if you think about all the effort done by these people to grab or scam others.

Thats manly why I run most of my stuff vanilla, you enver cna be sure whats in the stuff you grab unless you would have programmed it on your own.

For those who can't read 8pt font, the link is simply an article telling you not to get Steam Extensions in chrome that offer to help with CSGO trading/gambing or inventory management

I'd be surprised to find anyone I know had fallen for this. Kids and the near elderly might but most of us are savvy enough to smell the excrement of 3rd party software claims.

I feel very sorry for the people scammed, I'm sure lots of people have been and lots more will be and I hope the people who perpetrate this crime are found and punished severely.

The only extensions I use are adblock and noscript. I don't think there is anything else useful to even try.
