I was in someone's face, I have a BAP, a Targeting Comp, and they were less than 3m away, in my face ... couldn't target them for my streaks to fire even with a tag on them? WTF? Yes, they had an ECM, but that's bunk. Something's going wrong.

Was there another enemy 'mech around that might also have had ECM ?
One BAP counters one ECM, targeting computers do nothing in that regard.
The TAG not working is weird, though I'm not sure if another ECM-'mech close by wouldn't cancel that out, too. I don't use TAG often enough to be 100% sure how it works in every situation.

1 BAP negates 1 ECM, so if there were 2 ECMs, then that would have cancelled out your BAP. Targeting Computers don't counter ecm, and tag only works if the mech using tag is outside of the ECM bubble, so it sounds to me like there was simply more than 1 enemy ECM near you.

i noticed the same. u didnt get a lock within 90m to single ecm-mech while equipped with a BAP. Moving outside the 90m range and i got a lock.

This has been around forever, and the general response from PGI has been," Working as intended."
ECM mechs have like a 90m invulnerable to lock zone.
