I agree, it shouldn't be visible at all in normal light, though I'd be ok with them letting thermal and night vision still able to see it.

How is the User gonna see if it is on the Target if the beam is Invisible under normal viewing conditions?

yeah actually we only used our peq 2 mounts with our nvgs, on..... BUT WE DIDN'T HAVE A RETICLE!!! TARGET RETICLE PLUS MAX RANGE ON TAG ARE PARAMETERS FOR NON VISIBLE USE.
seriously if you know where the reticle points then you know where your tag is and how far do you know it will go? max range man...... you don't need to be able to see the red line to use it. i can't see the bullets come out of my guns but i kinda know where they will go because like iron sight or optics you can aim with a RETICLE

Could go with bit harder to see TAG lasor though..

Also, make it toggleable. As in, click weapon group with it on, activates TAG, second click deactivates..

A target hit by TAG will have the red "hit" indicator on their crosshairs, plus the TAG symbol on the designated target.

I'm all for the "only visible in heat/night vision modes", especially since TAG-using missile boats end up giving the opponent a laser sight straight to the source of their problems. As if the missile warning isn't enough...

This would be very nice, actually.

On the subject of TAG, I wish it were a toggle like AMS or arm lock so you didn't have to dedicate a weapon group to it.

Edit: Yeah pretty much what was said above :P

OK and at 115kph across rough terrain? I heard it was tough enough to keep on a target now and we can SEE the Beam via the Cross Hairs...

A Tag Laser has 750m range right, and Night vision has what? 500m max... So you see a target at 700m, switch to NV, boom you have a beam and NO target... Not seeing the practical side there...

I'm in for that. Just add a indicator for being tagged, like they did it with narc
(on the hud of the tagged mech...)

Basically I was just saying that if you are being targeted by TAG, and the TAG laser is invisible, how would you know you were being TAG'd?

There are too many crutches already. The indicator is all the missiles inbound when you're in cover.
