I like that gunslinger PPC feel of the the Hammy. Hard to make it work on anything besides a Heavy or Assault. Well, maybe I can get some drops in it during prime time when the there are more matches going on.

I never wait more than 30 seconds to use a heavy in Pug queue, even when it's heavily populated.

When & IF PPC's ever get fixed/quirked/whatever back into being decent weapons, it might be better off.
Just don't throw yourself at your enemy and its actually a pretty good mech, plenty of variety and if you can get over the whole "Must have PPC's in the arms" baloney, it does quite well.
I look at it the same way I do as the Orion, paper tiger and maybe 1 tiny step up above it.
Time and time again, I get murdered in it because my team throws themselves at the enemy and gets slaughtered and I am then forced into massive focus fire all at once.

Do wish it was a smidge tougher, TBH, as it really isn't designed to be able to use all the firepower at once in most cases..... but it is what it is.

Bracket fire is necessary with PPCs due to the heat anyways so that's not entirely a bad thing. Still, as much as I love them, they don't really love me back all that much. I'm sure I could shove some LPL in there instead of PPC but then it just wouldn't be a warhammer anymore.

Been dropping with Heavies. Heavy queue is overloaded, but it tries to tonnage match, now, so it's all good. Most I had to wait was like... 5 minutes on search. Usually sub-60-seconds.
Day 4:
The Warhammers still have not noticed I am not one of them. As long as I move as they move, shoot like they shoot, surely my ruse will never be uncovered.

since tuesday, I've had 2 waits I actually found notable? Both still well under 2 minutes, and the rest under 30 seconds with instant vote screen pretty common. Even when I was group dropping with LordRed for PhotoOps.

As for the Whammy being "bad", I really think that people need to buy and hop in an Awesome to learn how to run it. With the Warhammer 6D, you can, while slightly blasphemous, put both PPCs in the right arm so that you can poke and pop. For the others, and including the 6D, you really need to imitate Leon from the opening sequence of "The Professional" (otherwise known as "Leon" in Europe). If you remember the movie, he bounced from location to location firing and killing in that manner. He never stopped, never camped, etc. With the Warhammer, you have to maximize your DPS potential while staying mobile. Also, the biggest thing that you need to learn is to use the Free Look (Left Control button) so that, when you torso twist away to spread damage, you Free Look your arms up so that they cover up more of your side torsos. The Whammy doesn't have good shield arms and the top portion of the side and center torsos stick out a good bit so you have to do what you can to protect them. At the end of the day, the Warhammer is a 10 ton lighter Awesome 8Q and it needs to be played with the same level of expertise and respect. Pop and move; don't poke and roll back.
