I'd really like to help you guys make maps, mech patterns, map objects, etc. I don't have the experience or training to apply for employment, but I'd really love to help out any way I can. I have had some minimal experience with Maya, Photoshop, etc., and would like to start learning on my own how to do what you guys do.

Before you say it's too complicated, remember this ... http://www.scienceda...10918144955.htm

We are gamers, We are used to doing things, and solving problems that most people find too difficult. Let us help.

We just need the most basic instruction on how it's done and what tools are used. You have to train people to do what you do, don't you have some reference materials already that we could use to get us started. Just let us know what tools you use, and we will do our best to figure it out.

That would greatly devalue paid employees positions.

No, that would free up paid employees for stuff the community _can´t_ do, like improving the existing and adding new game modes, advancing CW (adding an economy, for example) that kind of stuff.

Having a valuable resource at your fingertips, but refusing to use it is the height of folly.

Let's face it the best we can do will still have to be reviewed, tweaked, and tested, but it's better than starting from scratch. If nothing else we can model some buildings in maya or whatever. They can decide what is useful, rescale it to match the scale of their maps, etc.
