Today has been one of those horrible streaks of losing 2-12....4-12....etc. etc.
Not sure why matches just flip-flop one extreme to the next. I know it has something to do with pilot rating...but I have been stuck on lvl5 for a month.... even averaging about 360dmg a match the last 2 weeks I just can't seem to get in with better players and teams for the good matches.
Getting bored with the lopsided wins of 12-2..... and bored with the opposite as well. My Archer comes in in March but I am hoping I can stay "hooked" that long lol.
Wished there was a better way to level your Tier up or get in some good and fun matches...

It's One Of Those Strange Things...

Buddy, trust me the closer you get to T1 the worse the game play gets.... At T1 everyone is using the same mechs with the same weapons, and one mistake by either side is the death blow to that match.... In T5/4/3 game play you will see less meta laser vomit but the same amount of lob sided matches...

I just had 6 straight losing streak with the newly acquired CDA-3M. While discouraging, I take solace in the fact that such happenstance is extremely rare and I and performed adequately for a 40 tonner in those losing matches.
It became better when I managed to do pretty good on the single win, after all those losses.

Either way, unless you're piloting an assault, the noobishness of your team shouldn't matter much, no matter what tier you play. Its roughly the same, follow the deathball, get at least 1 kill, do your best, and you should roughly get 1.0 WLR.
Also, if you're using stock mechs, don't expect to win much at all.
I think everyone experiences games where they having losing streaks. Just power off and do something else after you lose 3 games in a row. Don't bother trying to "even the odds", you'll just lose more, because you're more stressed.

What this guy says is correct and good. If you're losing repeatedly and not having fun doing it... stop playing for a bit (the night, couple hours, whatever) and do something that won't be frustrating. Reading.. TV.. a casual drive maybe? IDK, just something else. Works well as a reset so that when you go to play again you can get back into a calm mindset and just enjoy the game, as it is meant to be.
If you aren't having fun playing a game, there's no point in playing the game.
I've found that I have been able to get into such a mindset the I can enjoy the game even when I do terrible. Maybe it's because I've started using VOIP and recording my games. idk.

Yea I need to do laundry.... My KGCs are all mastered and doing great with them. I still get good numbers win or lose...sometimes I get an up rating in a loss... Just bought that Mad Dog and got 5 kills first match running and gunning for giggles... The match WAS very close... I think 12-9 by the end of it.
Think I found me a new toy to master up. This is my first clan mech so I am reading up on the differences and the omni pods deal. Decided to skip matches and get a gameplan out for the new mechs.

Well I started with Clan mechs, my issue with them is that they all feel very soulless, due to the ability to mix and match parts. I mean aside from ct cores, you can make identical loadouts. You'll also find that you are often short one of the fallowing:
Pod space (tonnage)
Pod space (free crit locations)
Hard points
