I understand guys are always making new mech content, maps and adjustments and have bigger plans for phase 3 of CW (all fine and dandy to me)

But we seriously need a new public game mode. Just to Spice things up while we wait for phase 3 ya know?

I brought this up before and almost everyone was on board with it, Game Mode: Solaris arena. Much like MW4,
Maybe 2-3 variants of the same arena and night/day cycle.

Theres so many good concepts that come with this like:
1v1 match making. Eaderboars for weight class.
Or like 6 man free for all where you have a drop deck like CW.
Orrrrr to even sum all those ideas up into one,FFA elimination, on a 6 man FFA, two least score mechs eliminate until the last two are standing.

Take out assault mode since skirmish is picked literally like 80 of the time over it anyway so less dilution of players across game modes.

I reallllly hope this comes to bear fruit one day.

I was under the impression Solaris is kinda worked on already?
Might be mistaken, though.
But don´t make it a game-mode in Quick-play, make it a third category, as in Quick-Play, CW, Solaris.

As for taking out Assault, nope. Make Assault worthwhile? Yes please.
Instead of "capturing" the base, make the goal to destroy it (like, raiding an enemie´s supply depot or something).
Give it a _ton_ of HPs and some static defenses.
Perhaps put only a single base on the map (one team is the defender, the other the attacker and give the attacker some advantage to counter the static defenses (tonnage, numbers, whatever) and call the game-mode "Raiding" or "Deep Strike".
Game ends with either killing all attacking mechs, the destruction of the base or on time-out.
Defender wins on killing all attackers or on time-out
Attacker wins on killing the base (no, killing all defenders will _not_ give you a victory, you also have to kill the enemy base)
Anything else is a draw (yes, no "most kills win", the objective is the base, if no side achieves the objective, it is a draw).

If two bases on the map, both teams are attacker.
If you want to win, kill the enemy base - period.

You just described CW Counter-Attack, which of course already exists:

Attackers must defend Omega till time-out or till all defenders are eliminated.
Defenders must destroy Omega and get more kills.

(Note: In counter-attack, the attackers are defending to keep hold of their recent planet cap, and the defenders are attacking to take back the planet they just failed to defend previously.)

Instead, how about just having one base in the middle (IE: Conquest but with only one central point). If no mechs are in the capture zone, it goes immediately back to neutral. First to 500 resources wins.
This exists in other games under the name of "King of the Hill".
This doesn't exist in MWO yet.

LOL, I guess that shows that I don´t play CW :)
Hm, could this be used to introduce new players to CW?, knda port the game mechanics of CW into Quick play, just without the drop-deck?

I thought about KotH, but decided to go with my version above :)
(yes, I´d be fine with that too, perhaps as a 4th mode?)
