Mad Cat Mk.II is from 3066.
Mad Cat Mk.III is from 3086 (prototype slightly earlier).
Mad Cat Mk.IV is from 3136.
They sport technologies such as XXL engines, Ferro-Lamellor armor, Hyper-Assault Gauss Rifles, Advanced Tactical Missiles, Artemis V, CASE II., etc.
So probably "not soon".

There was always the IS manufactured Mad Dog MkII variant? Not the actual MkII but the original Mad Dog manufactured in IS factories.

Anyway, the mech has always been a bit of an issue with me anyway. I like the mech in general, but I hate how it needs to be a Madcat. I always thought slapping the Madcat name on multiple different mechs in multiple different classes was either lazy or just a way to appease fans who just NEED to have a Madcat assault or medium.
Anyway, when PGI is ready, we will get it. Hopefully it won't be bowlegged like the one in MW4 :/

...
When they make a light Mad Cat, say a Mark V, then we can finally have all.

I madexa 35t omni version of it, called it the the Mk. V, nasty price of hard ware, 6/9 with F. Laminar armour and a load out in the Prime that is reminiscent of the Timber Wolf.... I'll dig it up later and post it for you.
Edit:
For Hit the Deck, and anyone else that wanted to see the Mk. V I mocked up:
wow I posted that nearly a year ago....

Yes, that's true. Probably manufactured since 3060s or so.
However, saying that the Mad Dog Mk.II is "IS manufactured" is slightly misleading. Its factory is located in the Clan OZ, serves Clan needs and produces Clan 'Mechs.

This is the actual Mk.II. There is no other Mad Dog Mk.II and never has been.

I actually did that myself in SSW as well, but I made my version have 7/11 MP instead of 6/9. Remember, the point of the Mad Cat in BT/TT is the be at the "apex" of its weight class, which means that making it have sub-par speed kinda detracts from that role.
Plus, you already have some 6/9 lights like the Adder that do practically the same thing, but there aren't any 35-ton Omni lights that go 7/11 or 8/12 (Owens doesn't count because it's so bad).

You are very right Fup, I just chose to go a different route to make it an Apex unit, by giving it Ferro-Lamellor armour, as it effectively gave it 20% more protection than anything else 35t. It was also designed to work along side the Mk III (a 55T version that is also 6/9).

I built mine with more traditional tech for the base config, but with a fair use of several fancy higher tech guns...
Some of the builds I made were just pure batshit crazy, like 2 ERLL + 10 MGs + TC or the utterly insane 20 Micro Pulse Lasers + 6 JJs + TC.
A few were actually sane though, like the Prime with 2 ERML + 2 ERSL + 4 AP Gauss + 2 ARLM10. That one probably best encompasses the "essence" of the Mad Cat.

Well then, our Primes both fallow a "essence" of the Mad Cat.
