It's not that the rock can't be stomped, it's that certain mechs like the Atlas are afraid of rocks. It's like a person that is afraid of a mouse and jumps up on a chair. If the Atlas had jump jets, it would leap up on a cliff out of the way, but sadly, in it's terror, all it can do is freeze in place and refuse to go forward.

Try to be more considerate of your mech's phobias. It's a serious problem for them.

If your foot has ever unexpectedly been bitten my a mouse you'd be afraid and jump on a chair too, those SOBs are vicious.

We had mice at my old work. They would get under the door from the warehouse and scurry across the floor. They never seemed too bad. Always skittish, always running.

Now Rats, we had one of those before. Big sucker too. Those are mean and fearless. That thing looked like it wanted to take a piece of you. When we caught it, it was hiss at at everyone from the cage. Mean bugger. I believe it would bite everyone if it could.

Anyway, as for rocks, I do wish they were more Like the trees or those weird pod looking things on Forest Colony. If you ran into a boulder, they would just roll out of place. Now that trees are getting that treatment, maybe the boulders will too.

I'd prefer them just fixing hill climb honestly. As bipedal mechs, stepping up something as tall as your ankle/shin shouldn't be causing them to get stuck and/or slide back down.

Sometimes it is stupid. The logs on Viridian Bog should actually just disintegrate when hit with even 20 tons. No way dead wood could stop a mech.

Also the little ledges on the river in Canyon are too low to obstruct a mech.

The flaw is that incline stops mechs in MWO maps without regard to the height of the object. That could be a simple fix.

I love Bog, and many other maps.
I see things in a different way: if a pilot gets stuck, it's because he cannot pilot well and doesn't know the critical points of the map.

Then I think it's pretty stupid that an assault is stopped by a tiny rock or a tiny root :D
A mech should also be able to wrech building by charging it, etc...

Yes they need to fix it. I was in Canyon the other day. Me in my Victor and a heavy, can't remeber the model. We step around the corner and face a KC. No problem he is a bit roughed up so I figure we can take him. The heavy bolts forcing me to reconsider. As I throw in reverse I notice that I don't move an inch. I'm getting stuclk on some small rocks that I have my heels against and which I didn't even notice when going over them. The KC executes me. It's annoying.

Does anybody remember those indestructible statues in the old River City, just in front of the Town Hall?

Every time i spawn at that side on this map now I deliberately head over and squash those things before any fighting starts

Imagine, 12 a side mech football matches. Shooting someone is a foul, and a hand ball is a death sentence...
