When are you guys going to start using anti-cheat software? Is there a reason that you can't use Valve's and have everyone login through steam?

We shouldn't be put in a position to have to prove that there are cheaters playing this game. Please address this issue sooner than later.

They do check for this, and a few individuals have been banned for this behavior. Every so often you will come across an account that has been shut down for this.

There are a tiny number of them. I've never seen one clear cut case personally and been playing for several years

This is simply untrue back in the day you had gallons of hackers you could pretty persistent notice aimbots with players that aimed for unarmored shield arms like every match. The good thing was they never got much of an advantage out of it because
there wasnt HSR and you properly needed to lead a target by experience thats a thing a bot cant do that good.

Now after HSR and the thing evolving its pretty hard to detect but not impossible there are signs for aim assists that are easy to spot and signs too for wallhacks. You can have good positioning but you cant have always the 100% perfect position. But with certain camping individuals they can Posted Image.

To take other F2p as example without AC they are a cesspool of hackers and atleast 50%-75% are hacking in them.

Nice long town hall. I just wander how many more will quit because of all the cheaters being permitted to continue to play or will decide to join them and cheat because it's been allowed for so long or simply to even the playing field before they actually get banned. Great way to lose a player base...

What are those cheaters?.. I have not seen such guys. Or maybe I don't care about them.

What needs to happen is screen every single player. They are nothing but hacks out there. Also the game needs to be totally revamped; when can a LIGHT MECH take 2 Gauss rifle rounds to the center and still have armor? Its not right. Until this gets fixed I am out of this game.

I've played thousands of games, and I can only think of a few instances where cheating was almost certainly going on. The worst was a classic case of a "skilled" player repeatedly head-shotting moving and twisting team-mates from well over 1km away. Yeah, even good players can't casually do that.

That being said, thankfully this game has relatively few cheaters compared to many others. My concern, however, is when they introduce this proposed tournament with money on the line, cheaters will start coming out of the rotting cesspools and begin mucking up the game. As long as there's nothing on the line, there's almost no real reason to cheat at a game like MWO unless you want to brag or troll people in a stupid, bannable way. But toss in money and real recognition, and all bets are off.

Please check out the last Town Hall.

PGI have a full suite of custom-built anti-cheat software. Which detects several hacks that are *not* detected by Valve Anti-Cheat...

Waiting for the tears of banning later this month...

Well, hearing what Russ has to say about the cheaters form one town hall to the next makes it pretty clear that they don't actually have any anti-cheat software for this game and are mainly relying on our input on who we think is cheating so they can "look into it". Why else would they ever ask for screen shots? Only because they still haven't taking the time to add anti-cheat software into the game that actively scans our game client for cheats.
If you haven't discovered that players are cheating a lot then you need to spend more time playing CW.
