Last night I decided to take the Urbie R63(S) since I haven't ran it in a while. I dropped on Polar Highlands (finally, that map is hard to drop on now), and almost right away I started getting hate from a few players. One was talking about how they want to shoot every Urbanmech they see. Other players were agreeing with them.

These were my teammates, wanting to shoot me!

So sad.

Please, stop all the Urbie hating. He may be a little guy, but he has a big heart (and a big gun).

I could say the same for some players, but I don't hate on them lol. I didn't set the world on fire, but I'm sure I outperformed some "better" mechs that match.

It might not let me perform at my full potential, but my record with it is solid.

Besides, we are a team, don't put up barriers!

Most people have never seen a good urbie. One of the urbie's greatest weapons is it's status as a "joke" mech when it's actually ridiculously strong when properly built and more importantly, piloted.

Just took a look at my Urbie stats. rofl!

after about 200 matches in it, it has 1.66 W/L and 2.04 K/D.... dafuq?...and it has a UAC... no even laser vomit! XD

so...

HATE THEM BACK... with some good AC rounds.




but in all seriousness... yes.. its a bit sad after "re-balance"

Depending on how you do it the urbie can be a force to be feared. In my of my games it 4v1 and I nearly crutched it, taking out 3 of them. I've also had other games with 5+ kills.

You know what you've talked me into going for an Urbie spree right now

I just dare them to do it and drop all my daily reports on them if they do. Simple. Really sad, especially since the UM-R63 is actually pretty decent, probably the best of the bunch with an ac5 and 3 medium lasers. I score 500+ pretty regularly in it, so I don't need to hear anyone's nonsense.

"NOW" its a joke mech.

I can't even pilot it anymore, thing literally gets insta-shredded.

Locust is more competitive than Urby now.. which both saddens me, and pisses me off.

I don't hate mechs with high mounts. Urbie has High mounts. I don't hate Urbie. Even in T1 matches.

Sadly it seems that properly built Urbies are very rare indeed, and most you see in the wild are a neutered variety that have nothing but a big engine and a couple machine guns, usually running straight into a crowd of enemy 'mechs in a frenzied attempt to end their own pitiful existences.

I don't really care that much anyway (unless a team mate intentionally TKs me or legs me). Words are just words. I'm just surprised teammates would go out of their way to shame a fellow teammate.

Second thought, no I'm not surprised. Almost every match a player hates on their team if they die. Heck, even if their team wins, they still yell about how stupid their team was in general chat.

Honestly, nothing should surprise me in PUGlandia lol.

To be fair, the last balancing round has hit the urbie quite hard.
which doesn't matter, play what and how you like and better give a fugg about others in solo. Because normally they give a Fugg about you.

But i get lots of hate from enemy streakcrows, in the form of streaks i can't escape from

So funny story happened last night, I took my LCT-PB with quad MLas out for a spin lastnight for my last game of the night, got Polar and the strangest game occurred. After 8 minutes of maneuvering we finally made contact with the Red team, two minutes after that, it was me vs. A cherry red ST XL Battlemaster and an Urbanmech that was relatively fresh packing a UAC-5 and some lasers... Well it came down to me vs. Urbie.... That was a hell of a fight, fun too. When all was said and done, I had the victory, yet was legged and my armour across all locations was gone....
