I hope easymode never makes it to this game. It would be the nail in its coffin. CW failure is doomed this game so sure bring on easymode and kill this poorly developed game already.

Grip, that's the problem, there is such a high % of MWO's PvP player base, that really only want to fight AI in a PvE setting = easy mode, PvP is never gona be the easy mode that they are looking for..... (insert star wars meme here)
this is the problem with CW / FW, PPL that want to play it like a single player game, or 2-4 uber casual friends that only want the throw the ball around once a week level of play. these are the ppl that want a CW solo / tag less Q..... so they can play it like a single player game with coop, and NOT A TEAM BASED GAME that PvP should be....
PGI cant give them their easy mode play ground soon enough to save PvP CW from losing the units and team work aspect that the regular casuals through to the uber comp players need in a team based play ground, but are not a high enough % to really cater to it seams......
so cater to ppl that want PvE first, so the PvP Team based game can be left in Peace with what ever % of the player base that is left.....

it needs to be coop pve because singleplayer in an online multiplayer game is just dumb.

PvE with PvP on the side was what this game was originally supposed to be, just like all the past Mechwarrior games. PGI was forced into making it what it is today but the original vision of Mechwarrior 5 might one day be realized. Here's PGI's 2009 trailer:

One of the NGNG guys told me they are working on it, but I doubt it's the highest priority at the moment (doubtful if it's even out of early planning stages). Best case, we won't see it until late this year, November-ish. More likely, summer next year. Note that this isn't hard and fast, it's just the impression that I got combined with what little hard-n-fast info was let slip on the topic.

Official position iI last heard was PvE in 2016... Probably late.
Does this mean a single player campaign? No clue.
If they use PvE to end ghost drops and counter attacks with AI mechs I would be satisfied with that as it is a critical need.

Yes, they are making PVE yes it's supposed to be coop hopefully 4-8 people, I will be bringing this up at the next town hall tomorrow if I get off work in time.
Trust me I've rallied for PVE since 2012, once CW phase 3 was delivered (spring) PVE is the next big focus because it also would benefit CW.

Well, despite the joke, I hope they do it. I wouldn't mind another awesome game like MW2:Mercs. Co-op would be awesome.
