First off, thanks for the quick youtube link Phil. I listened to most of it, Russ spent over 4 hours talking with us, a really nice effort on his part. Many upcoming changes sound good, looking forward to seeing them in game.

Those of you who know the fantastic band called 'Tool' may remember the lyrics from the song "Schism", which go something like:

the silence has

a tendency to

atrophy any

sense of compassion

between supposed brothers

It comes to mind every time I listen to these Town Hall meetings, because it reminds me that PGI would generate so much good will by interacting with the community more. When you hear Russ explain things personally and talk about their challenges, it generates a lot more sympathy and understanding and solidarity than reading some Tweets that random people quote on the forum. Even when I don't agree with their decisions, it's so much better to hear the explanation from the source.

I realize that more interaction with the players means more negativity. But I think more interaction with the players would both overwhelmingly increase the positive feedback, while also reducing the amount of negativity, simply due to creating more understanding and appreciation of what's going on.

Absolutely agree. Karl Berg's pioneering thread and the later introduction of Town Halls made a lot of things clearer as to why some things were or were not done which personally helped a lot.
