This needs to be fixed, ASAP

I bought a mech on sale this past week and nearly blew a good chunk of my MC because the game STILL defaults to MC instead of cbills when buying mechs. This could be fixed very quickly in the code - it's just a default variable value - and really needs to be changed. All it takes is one double-click from a player and they'll end up blowing real world money that they didn't need to spend... and then you've got an angry customer.

Seriously, please fix this, and if anything else in the game defaults to MC over cbills when you have enough cbills to buy it, fix it there, too. The default should NEVER be "spend real world money" when spending game money is an option.

I agree. It is a caveat emptor kind of treatment. Its a simple fix.

PGI should fix it, but still anyone careless enough to do that shouldn't have a credit card in the first place.

For now, I encourage people who accidentally have this immediately ask for MC refund, and don't buy anything else in the meantime. Make it clear it was an accident and why the accident occurs, because the system defaults to burning up your real money.

They will probably say no to everyone who does it, but things don't get solved by people being afraid of hearing no. They get solved when a company has a bigger headache of dealing with telling people no than just fixing it.

Exactly. It is a simple fix and the current setup is just dangerous and just asking for nasty customer backlash.
