I know clan and comp player will cry over this post and portray me as a "SniperPussy" but this post is about how this game is on the verge of a major misstep based on the Feb Road Map proposed IS nerf and clan buff.

First off, this game is a war simulation in CW. If one side is simply better, this isnt a war.. it is a slaugher. If clans are supposed to be American Armed Forces and IS is supposed to be the Iraqi Army.. what is the point of playing? One side will always win.

So, Clan tech is supposed to be balanced based it being MULTIROLE Superiority. While IS mechs have a few mechs specialized for certain roles which are better at that one role... LIKE SNIPERS, Brawlers, missle support, etc.

Clan tech is able to compete vs any of these IS specialty mechs because of strategy and tactics... NOT SIMPLE DPS/FIREPOWER or other overwhelming advantages in ALL possible categories. This game is about applying the correct tactics and strategy.

Boreal Vault CW map is a grand example, IS mechs with about 10% better range can dominate on defense if the team is properly commanded, but the same team on the same map may get slaughtered in a counter attack or hold territory because the EXACT same opponent load out has several strengths beyond ISERLL range to exploit.

Currently, tonnage can be used to balance changes in the CW map because extra tonnage can exploit certain IS mechs which present new challenges to clan/comp teams. Without these clear advantages, tonnage modification will just be more IS metal ducks for the Clan shooting gallery... no tactic or strategy will compensate, only utter incompetence by the clan/comp team will make matches competitive.

So, get over this "CLAN must be OP in all areas" bullcrap. We do not have a game if the IS has ZERO advantages. STOP listening to deathball teams that just want the deathball to be unstoppable by ending "Sniperpussies".

Just as I suspected, you can't argue with the truth.

I don't care that certain IS mechs that were capable of beating Clan ranges are getting their quirks needed when it means mechs no-one in their right mind would run are (hopefully) getting buffed to be worth using. And my Shadow Cat is getting a reason to exist with MASC being buffed.

Yeah, "sniping" agains IS range, is nothing when compared to Clan range. And lol, no, your IS Large Laser should not come anywhere near the range of a Clan EXTENDED RANGE Large Laser.

How does no one see something WRONG with a normal IS laser being quirked to have the same range, or great range then a Clan EXTENDED RANGE laser?

that would be like the a Mortar suddenly getting the same ballistic trajectory as a 120mm tank cannon just because the mortar is IS...
