You can get an Alpha of 100, no UAC double taps needed, from a Mad Dog with 4xERML and 6xSRM6. That's part of the reason why I think people saying the Mad Dog needs buffs are kinda' nuts. Do you honestly WANT something with that kind of firepower, with a top speed of over 80 kph, to be tanky as well?

If they own one, then yeah, they probably do.

Otherwise how do you explain all the people viciously defending the Firestarter for as long as it was the broken master of the light queue, or the ACH shortly after the FS9's fall from grace, or the total lunatics claiming that the TBR and SCR weren't OP at all before the IS got quirks...

Most people saying it needs buffs are comparing it to the Timber Wolf, which can carry similar firepower give or take while going the same speed and having more armor. Mad Dog is pretty bad in the hit box department, it can't hope to shield its CT.

So unless we go with the idea that a mech that is lighter should be weaker then it would be buffed. Though if we go with that idea then that would justify things like the Black Jack having the structure of a heavy mech.

Mad Dog is decent, but far outclassed by its heavier counterparts.

My ideas for durability buffs require the Vulture user to mount fewer hardpoints (the pods with 3 missiles get no buff), which makes it a trade of having ALL THE MISSILES or getting some structure increases in exchange for only a few missile hardpoints.
