Already have the others just need 1 for the set of 3. Also not really played them to much yet either, been waiting on them to go on sale to round out the 3rd one.

What's your playstyle? 3M is a fun LASER boat. you can build a wub-shee (3LPL 5MPL) or, if you're weird like me, you can make it a SHS mech! 3ER LL, 5ML and something like 35 SHS means normal dissipation but a huge threshold (4 or 5 Alphas)

TBH though, I prefer the 3S (mine's named Antioch after the only good character in that horribly written 'Main Event' book) because you can run AC20 and ERPPCs which are, obviously, much crappier and much more fun Posted Image

Hope this helps. Banshee is by far my favorite 'mech.

Anything you can put AC20 or Gauss in = win.

I love the 3M too, but the thing runs pretty hot, and I just trust ballistics alot more than I do Laser vomit these days.

3M. The 3M and 3E are the good ones. The 3S's engine cap makes it subpar. The La Malinche is just weird.

Used to run AC20 + 8x MPL 3S back when MPLs were not Ghost Heated, it was slow but deadly mech.

I'd pick both, 3M is of course better but 3S is a good mech in its own right.

La Malinche has Skulls bleeding from the empty eye sockets painted all over, what else do you need?

Both are good being banshees though hit a bit hard with acceleration and torso twisting with the skill nerf.

All the more reason the 3M with 400xl is the way to go. I ran mine with 3lpl and 3 mpl.

La Malinche is okay with 3lpl and ac10 but the lowest of the four imo.

3E with 3x ac5 or 2x uac5 + 2x ac2 is a monster and beats 3S anyday.

Can run ppc or ml with it.

3E then. More options, better hardpoints and, because PGI, better quirks.

Yeah I think it's gonna be the 3E but honestly after looking at smrfy the 3S looks interesting (never really been the one to be meta only so I like a challange time to time) hell being an assault on sale might as well end up with both lol, now if only king crabs went on sale.

Oh, then the 3E for sure. 3 AC5s and 3 ERLL is A LOT of fun!

On the 3E chain fired or group fired? Or does it really matter?

Never chain fire. All you do is help your opponents spread damage

I would add, after all that scolding, that we don't know your tier and, in four or five, chain fire will simply cause the enemy to back up without returning fire. So, while I agree with my esteemed mechwarrior colleagues, there is a situation for everything.

-3E all the way. I put 3x AC/5 and my energy complement depends on what I want to do. 4x MPL works fantastic most of the time, that's what I use because the punch is brutal. 2x LL if you want some range. 2x PPC if you want a little taste of bygone days - still works. I used to run 2x Ultra + 2x AC/2, but it doesn't handle facetime very well, so if you draw any attention to yourself you start falling apart quick - so I moved away from it.

The -3S can do some really fun builds and perform amazingly, but if you had to choose between that and the -3E, go for the -3E.

Oh yeah, and I do have my groups set up for a chainfire option. I just have one AC/5 each on group 3 and 4, and all three on group 1. Press 3, 4, and hold down 1 in order and you start off the chainfire barrage. Works fantastic for when you can afford the face time, just like having one of those silly macros. Tends to suppress people more than just hitting alphas. Certainly works, but you need to know when and when not to use it.
