hi,
i've been asking around lately, but noone could answer me so far.
those colorful animalsigns on the uper border of the IS map, what are those? some sort of zodiacsigns?

Clan Wolf had a wolf, and so the clans call themselves after , mostly I think, predators.

Each Clan and each IS House has it's own icon.

Clans all have animals
ie Clan Ghost Bear, Clan Jade Falcon, Clan Wolf etc

Is the joke that Clans have been pushed back to their respective homeworlds? Sure, okay. I don't really play CW but I hear that's what's happened.

Yes. Instead of a region of space belonging to each clan, when zoomed out, all you see is four animal icons at the top edge of the Inner Sphere pizza.

Those are just little trinkets. They symbolize a once proud population reduced to nothing. All their equipment just crapped out on all of them and they went extinct, so the tale goes.
