I am seriously considering to buy the Kodiak because of being the first clan Hero but the question for me how the Clan Hero will function.

Can we change all the omni pods and it will still function as Hero or did they said anything about locking the omni pods for the Heros?

The Kodiak is no Omni Mech, so you will not be able to "switch" omni Pods. It is more like a IIC Mech.

So, there is no Problem :P

Hmm, that is bad, the Hero specially the MASC at RT make me nervous then, it will be probably unremovable and while there UAC-10 there tell me, there is probably not enough pod space there for UAC-20.

I was hoping to run an Atlas-S build with that, 4xSRM6 UAC-20(or LBX-20), probably will not be possible, I have to think it is worth buying the Hero or not.

you should be able to remove it. you can remove such things on the IIC's I think. (I'd check to confirm, but cant due to being at work)

Uhm, with Executioneer you can't remove MASC, I think on IS wolverine you can, but I am not sure.

AFAIK all build rules that affect if you can remove something are based on if the mech is a battlemech or a omnimech not if they are IS or clan. You can remove MASC from the Wolverine because it is a battlemech just like the Kodiak is.

In other words everything on the Kodiak can be removed but you can't change hardpoints and only the ones that say JJs or MASC are available can equip JJs or MASC.

I am not deep into the lore thing, it is just a game for me. I thought they locked the thing on Executioner because of the balance, at the release TBR-S didn't have jump jets locked in but for balance reason they changed later on.

Yeah that was a balance change and it affected all omnimechs. As of right now omnimech's omnipods have locked equipment, structure, armor type, but you can change hardpoints, battlemechs are basically the opposite.

The Kodiak is a battlemech so It functions like all IS mechs. It just belongs to the clans.
