How about an up and down arrow for the maps on the selection screen. Quite often there's three maps where I wouldn't be bothered which one I'd play and one I hate. Instead of voting for one of the three eg Viridian Terra Therma or Caustic I could vote against one eg Polar Highlands. Its a bit more positive than hoping everyone else votes against it ie for the same alternate map.
