So with the incoming Kodiak, the Clans get another 100 Tonner and enough reap face to scare a Steiner Scouting Lance.

Sure fine whatever.

But the Kodiak wasnt on the battlefield until the Mid 3060s. Call it 3065. The sad thing? No new tech to flirt with.

But the Inner Sphere has another 100 tonner out there, who was stomping the battlefields of the far future since the EARLY 3060's.The Fafnir.

The Fafnir comes stock in four variants, with a fifth Hero variant waiting to punch others in the face.

FNR-5B
FNR-5WB
FNR-6U
FNR-5X

and the FNR-4A, Peters Custom Version

On these beautiful chassis, is a metric gak load of new tech.
(New Tech will be boldfaced)

FNR-5B
Gauss Rifles
Inner Sphere ER Medium Lasers
Inner Sphere ER Large Lasers

FNR-5WB
Improved C3 Computer
Inner Sphere Plasma Rifle
Inner Sphere ER Medium Lasers

FNR-6U
Inner Sphere Ultra Autocannon 20
Inner Sphere Light PPC
Light Ferro Fibrous Armor
Light Fusion Engine

FNR-5X
Inner Sphere Heavy Gauss Rifles / Inner Sphere Improved Heavy Gauss Rifles
Inner Sphere ER Medium Lasers

FNR-4A (Peter Steiner-Davion's custom hero version)
Inner Sphere Rocket Launcher 10s
Inner Sphere Heavy Gauss Rifle
Inner Sphere Medium Pulse Lasers
Compact Gyro
C3 Slave Computer
Guardian ECM Suite

Devs, the ball is in your court. Russ, I'm looking at you.

Kodiak was on the battlefield in 3001.

Some variants like the Kodiak-3 werent developed till the 3060s but PGI has taken liberties there. It doesnt mean theyll take liberties with other mechs though.

There should be a freeze on all new tech until current tech gets sorted out.

you are not asking for a new mech.

you are asking for a new mech + 5 new weapons (to develop and balance) + C Slave + Light engines + more stuff.

I like the idea of new Tech. But could we get some new Old Tech first?

Like my Arrow IV? Please?

Seriously OP. Before we start asking for New Mechs that have absolutely NO tech support, we need to actually get that tech in game AND BALANCED. Or, at least, the MWO equivalent of "Balanced".

Plus, I'm sure there are a dozen mechs that could be implemented instead that can make use of the current tech-base. I know there are people that would murder their grandmothers if it got the Bushwacker or Uziel into the game.

would love to see the faffie.

will be interesting to see how the kodiak pans out noting the level of hit point quirks the atlas needs to be useful again, and yes i know clan toys are lighter and shoot further.

Them hitboxes will be so easy to aim for. but at the same time this thing should be able to shoot at anything it can see with those cockpit-level weapons, unlike some other 100 tonners with a more mixed level of weapon placements.

Translation: I hate everything and everyone and fun and I am still angry about the clans 26 years after they were released so all must feel my blind decades old fury.

I do love how you're always the first to tell someone they can't have nice things. Do you get off on it?

Gigantic Gauss side torsos on a lumbering 100 tonner.

Has the Dire taught you NOTHING about that?

That alone might be balance enough if you give it a decent engine-size.

Possibly, aside from asking for asinine things like hats.

Without the benefit of a cXL, or arm mounted Gauss.

Doesn't really do anything special, does it? Dual Dakka (or Quad, because hardpoint inflation) and a Jesus Box in future variants.

I'd be okay with this as long as they left the torso cannons alone. What I mean by that is they better not have some long ****** up nipples coming out of it's side torsos and just leave them as giant barrels.

I'm more interested in the Heavy Gauss rather than the Mech itself.
