[Jiyu Mononoke]

Greetings Everyone,

I commonly play with my unit, sometimes a whole 12 man team, often just a lance, and sometimes it’s just my wife (Babybunny) and I.

I) I would really like to have a selectable icon menu during the match count down, but also accessible via the map after the game starts, where I can assign custom icons to various team mates. This would be extremely helpful while playing with friends and unit members. This seems like an easily added, no-complex feature.

II) On top of that, it would be fun to select between seeing the orthodox mech names, and the custom nicknames people give their modified mechs, don’t-chya think? Just like custom paint, Decals (coming soon), and war horns, personalized is often more fun. I know it’s a CPLT-K2 … but seeing Babybunny’s K-2 Trooper (She’s an Iron Maiden Fan [as am I]) would he fun as well. It gives me a hint as to that individuals personality in that mech.

I'd like to have custom nicknames for our mechs visible for other players but there is a reason i voted no.
The realist in me understood that the vulgar people out there with liquid ratpoop for brains will just make mech nicknames that are .....well...offensive to our younger audience.

The minimap isn't big enough for 12 custom icons to be visually distinct.

There is already enough customization available, with more coming in the form of decals.

So give us a mini-map with selectable zoom levels and that wouldn't be a problem... I mean hell, I should be on top, but always get piled under other icons that turn into a blob anyways right??? ... sooo... we just asking for some stuff to make seeing friends and lance mates easier. No one said you had to have 12 different icons either, it's just be nice to differentiate as needed.
~ The nick names was just a fun idea that seems like it'd be easy to implement....
