You seem to think that piracy is in the decline, when in fact it has been growing. Sure it is not Captain jack Sparrow any more but go to Somalia and tell me there are not any more pirates.

The lack of Pirates is clearly because of the increased number of Ninja over the millennia. After all, Ninja >>> Pirates.

There, I said it.

False.

Modern pirates wear suits and run banks.

Ninjas wear pajamas and act on movie sets.

Yarr! >>> Ninjas

All I can say is that "we knew that come 1860" that it was time to get out of Pirating. The younger generation just didn't appreciate or understand the subtleties of the "Old Ways". Thus the sharp decline began... lol Posted Image

Pirates are a storied faction in MechWarrior/Battle Tech. Only MW3's Pirate's Moon sequel dealt with them specifically but some interesting facts are that they preferred mechs with hands so they could pick up stuff as additional booty. Their alliance factions are called Bandit Kingdoms mostly in the Periphery and Chaos March systems.

Nobody wants to be a pirate because.
1. Most males refuse to wear frilly blouses.
2. Most males despise pirate pants.
3. Most pirates run hooptie battle mechs.
Check out the urban dictionary for the definition of hooptie.
4. Most pirates are drunken snodz and can't pilot or shoot worth a damn.
Which explains matches in Puglandia perfectly.
5. Most pirates smell bad and have ugly teeth.

And here I thought this was a petition to add some sort of pirate faction... I'm all for the inclusion of the periphery realms though. Add the reset of the invading Clans too.
