DISCLAMER - This is the IS Alternative Unit for Star Wolves Wolf-in-Exile; a unit whose member ship towers at around 500 members. The IS unit is growing quickly with membership well over a 100 members. We are now capable of deploying 1-2 12 mans most evenings.

Unit Philosophy and a bit about us: Are you sick of units that want you to "try out" to join them or file paper work. Maybe you're new and don't like being told you can't put up enough damage to be part of the team. Or perhaps the idea of mandatory training nights is not your cup of tea. Lets be frank, video games are great but if you have a family or social life you might want to put that first. At Star Wolves Gaming we completely understand this and would like you to join us to play when you can. First off, we are play when you feel but don't think we are bad players in anyway. We have a mix of different skill levels and experience but it isn't uncommon for some of our more skilled players to single handedly carry a group of Pugs. If you want training we have a mentoring system set up so you can get better and move up the ranks.

(P.S. All members have the ability to invite anyone they want to the unit so feel free to join us and bring as many friends as you want. Even if you decide you want to flip units eventually you're more than welcome to join us for as long as you want.)

A bit more info: While most of us have full time jobs and cannot play religiously we are all for getting better while providing players with competitive options if they are so inclined; our name is actually a joke from a movie so as you can see we don't take ourselves too seriously. With 500+ players we are very well funded and can field what is one of the largest armies in the game. As we all have jobs it is completely understandable if you need to disappear for awhile and no one is going to expect you to be playing if you have other things come up. Its fine by us if you have to disappear for weeks at a time but hope you'll come back to join us as soon as able. Posted Image

Unit Structure: In Star Wolves Gaming no one is going to lord a title over you. Management and officers view it as their job to help the unit and we all recognize every player who starts as a stone can be a diamond with a bit of polishing. Naturally if you don't want to command on the field that is fine but if you feel the desire you will be given opportunities to lead and improve. We are structured with typical clan "ranks" but this is more to help streamline the attacks/defense as opposed developing a hierarchy. The ranked members help the newer guys on the field while making sure the attacks press when they need to; higher rank means more responsibility to lead and develop players/strategies. Promotions are based on playtime and experience; you don't have to be an "ace" to be promoted in our unit but rather just be willing to help people. We know not every player is going to be able to put up 3000+ damage but as part of a team every player is valuable.

Who We Want: Players who want to have fun, be creative, fight hard every game, and want to win as TEAM. In the end, this is a game; it should be all about fun and improving while sharing a little joy in what might otherwise be a bleak day. We try to always be respectful to our opponents and nice to the PUGS at all times; however, we are more than willing to return mud if it is thrown at us. We show no respect to those that don't show any to us, but always try to do right to nice players regardless of their skill. Don't get me wrong, we have fun playing with the opposing team a bit but we make fun of ourselves just as much. That's all in good spirit though and we try to avoid mean-spirited taunting or making fun of skill level. Likewise a lot of our players are new at any given time and most of us know its not easy to start something new. If you're willing to put some time in to get better and grind some c-bills we will always be there to support you.

Who We Don't Want: Elitists. Players who need to compete to get the best score every game. People who think that it if they lots of damage but the team loses that they have still won. People who ask why the team dragged them down rather than how they can build up the team. Individuals who don't recognize that the ultimate goal is to have even damage/score spread across the whole team.

How to join: Message me or another unit member or post on this thread for an immediate unit invite. You will need to leave your current unit and break contract with a non-wolf house before we can send you an invite (Devs rules not mine. Due to feedback from our unit base, it is felt that TS should be mandatory for CW. Obviously some people have family and it is understandable if you don't want to wake them up by talking into a mic at midnight but it would be helpful if you would sign into the server to listen headphone or no. Obviously there can be exceptions so please feel free to talk to people if you have a major problem getting on for a specific reason. We would never exclude anyone because of a disability or family issues. TS just makes the game more fun for everyone so please use it if you can. Posted Image

Alternate Identification (Wolf's Dragoons): In order to play with other units we did take an additional name tag associated with Lore. This is not a role playing unit but it is nice to have for tournaments and such.

The Representative Team: Within our unit we do have a large base of elite players. These guys/gals know how to take positions, control the field, etc. Most of them have fully modded mechs and have a variety of drop decks to play with. Normally these guys are dropping with the rank and file but from time to time they will go form a group designed to perfect strategies or test new ones or to sometimes field challenges from other groups. When this occurs, no one will be excluded from playing with them if they have space but obviously to partake in their group you must be willing to follow the lead win or lose. They are playing with a purpose when they form to help the unit overall so if you want to join be ready to follow the more experienced players. This is not designed further the unit as a whole through the development and perfection of our strategies. This is what you might identify as our "competitive" group so if its your thing to join with people that have elite skill and tournament level talent we got you covered too.
