I never drive mad dogs because they are absolutely fricking terribad (side torsos the size of texas, direct fire ports 6.2 miles below the cockpit) but id like it if the ones i shoot at least looked better.

Hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose. I'll give you this, everything but the horrendous stump arms looks ok.

That's the Vulture mk 2 (which is statistically identical, just different in aesthetics due to "reasons")
At least i'm pretty sure about that.

If it is a Mad Dog MKII, it is a Mektek creation and not considered cannon according to Sarna.net.

I still don't get all the rage you guys have with the enforcer head... Imho it looks like in the concept art. We can talk about bigger
There are much worse offenders out there where the 3D artists derped...
Well, no offense, dude (seriously, you know I ain't ragging on you) but speaking as someone who makes a (pretty bad) living at art, yeah, it's significantly different, and the arm is even more egregious. Either you need a bigger monitor, or.... a trip to Lenscrafters. Because the bulbous mass we got is an overinflated balloon caricature of the art. the features indeed are there, in a vastly distorted manner. It would be like looking at your most beautiful woman in the world... with her face swollen from anaphylactis.

1. Classic looking arm weapons, that look like the original artwork, not stubs.
2. Less Torso hitbox surface so that twisting could shield your Torso's instead of trading full damage to one side or the other ignoring CT until one has popped.
3. Better twist and turn speed.
Amen.

at least they were at the end of appropriate length arm barrels, not little nubs.

You see all this pictures with mighty mighty LRM20s on them? Please fix the LRM20, make it a fearsome weapon! It´s so sad seeing all this LRM5 farters around.
The Archers is on the horizon, too! He needs his LRM20, HE NEEDS THEM! Please fix LRM20. At the moment ANY other LRM launcher is better.

Pretty sure it's actually canon, here's from sarna:
"Produced by Bergan Industries for Clan Ghost Bear, the Vulture Mk. II is functionally identical to the original, but has a slightly different appearance in terms of armor, structure, engine mounting and other cosmetic areas due to being produced from factories using Spheroid tooling"
"The canon status of the Mad Dog Mk II (Vulture Mk II) was confirmed by the Lead Developer in a ruling on the official forum on 21 Aug 2013"

We were looking at 2 different mechs, that is what caused the confusion. You are looking at the Vulture MKII and in was looking at the Mad Dog II. Both look the same too.
http://www.sarna.net..._Dog_II_(MekTek)
"While the Mad Dog II was released in an official product (specifically the MekTek Mekpack for Mechwarrior IV Mercenaries) this product and the vehicles in it are not considered to be part of the Battletech canon. As such, this design is considered to be apocryphal.[1]" - sarna.net
How confusing :/
P.S. Actually I don't think we were. Two different entries, same mech (I think), and two differing accounts about the legitimacy of canon.
I'm personally thinking if it as not canon, but (really the lead developer of MW4 gets to make that call based on a forum response?), but I suppose I can see it open to interpretation.

Kill the Mk. II with fire. The best thing about the MW4 intro is that the abomination died at the end.

Sorry, this bugs me, i see it so much.
Cannon = a device for firing projectiles
Canon = the word you are looking for.

I think the difference is that the Mad Dog mk2 has the same stats as the normal Mad dog, while the Mad Dog 2 (the mektek one) has a different build (75 tons for a start!) and is based on a fannon design. Basically anything that's in MekTek and nowhere else, is considered non-canon (while the mk2 is considered a canon design, if only just different in aesthetics)
It's a mess.
