However, ranting off at PGI every time your life prevents you from playing in one of their events? That makes you look like an as***le. Don't do that. It's neither PGI's fault nor PGI's problem.

My ranting? No, that's not their problem. What I was saying IS their problem, however, is that they don't seem to consider enough for the less fortunate folk, and the problems they have to deal with. (Heck, I'm sorry I couldn't make this clear enough earlier!) Other people have even mentioned that PGI should adjust due to those other things in a person's life, like paying attention to your wife, family, job, friends, and such. But they don't, and that's where the fault is on them. And I'm going to leave it at that, because if PGI can't get the point now, then my posting further on this thread about it is useless. :(

All I can do now is walk off, depressed... See you all after having had to ignore an event, and ending up further down in the community-splitting ditch-size cracks. -_-

the whole purpose of these events is to encourage people to play during these time frames. and it increases consumer satisfaction overall. im curious though, are you trying to get a huge company to conform around your specific schedule when they are creating events? you do know that there's 100's of thousands that will possibly participate in this event, and the time frame is based off of the fact that valentines day.

from what i see, you are upset because some people tried to do something nice, and you are excluded from it because of your own decisions and things that you decided to do. you would be foolish to assume that these guys wouldn't have a special event geared around the holiday. so why didn't you plan accordingly? that's like if someone invites you to a party, but you cant come because you have to go to the grocery store, so you then in turn hate the person that invited you because they didn't take in consideration your grocery store trip when planning a event for 40 people. except this is a much bigger scale... its ridiculous and stupid to be mad.

How do y'all expect people to achieve these with the lag spikes happening the past few days? Beyond that, I in the last hour alone I have crashed to desktop in four out of five matches. How about, instead of an event, y'all spend some time working on the client and the servers?

Every free contest they have for a free game to begin with ( although I have paid lots as I enjoy the game enough to buy most all of the packs) has a hidden bonus to them.

The cherry on top of the NUMEROUS free contests is getting to see the pathetic , sad , whiners , who actually get upset about free prizes or timeframes or details etc in a game that they complain about it.

Next time you're having a bad day , simply click on the most recent thread about a contest here , and read the posts from the small number who actually let the prizes or rules bother them. You should immediately feel better knowing it could be worse , you could be so petty and miserable a person as they are.

( and there's no way these whiners have serious problems in their life because if they did they wouldn't have time to whine about free contests in a video game , they just are entitled , bratty , and like to complain)

Oh , and thanks PGI for the contest , it's an interesting twist on the prizes , and probably will buy some more MC as can't have enough bonsai trees. :)

I usually dislike the whole Valentine business, but reading this made smile.
Clever idea!

Devnull, there is no way to accommodate every single person's life style and schedule. You having to share a computer is entirely out of PGI's control. They run far more events than most games do, so be grateful and play when you can. Don't sweat it when you can't. Life goes on.

This is a very interesting concept, not to mention this continuing the streak of almost weekly events! Thanks PGI, well done.

Welcome to the real world. If they helped all those who had real life intervene, damn near the entire player base would have 100k MC cause most ppl have bills to pay. Personally, I'm still waiting for the Multi-State Lottery Association to give me a cut of the last huge Powerball jackpot because I wasn't able to buy a million tickets.

Look at it this way - you're alive & have a chance to play the next event. Next expect an event for the next holiday, and plan accordingly.

DV, you ever stop to think about anyone but yourself?

For instance, maybe an event on Valentine's Day, of all days, isn't so much meant for a guy who has to split his PC time with his family, as for the guy who is alone on Valentine's Day.

You don't need an event, you have people who love you for you to complain about all over the internet, the event is here for those of us who literally have nothing better to do on Valentine's than play MWO.

Think about that for a bit. And for the love of all things holy and unholy, chill on the rants, you look like a 3-yr old having a tantrum. PGI generally ignores those sorta posts, and everyone else will just hate you for them.

Well, PGI, you've finally done it! Here's the event where I won't get to do a damn either. Why? Specifically because the timeframe they've selected is when several other people will be home, and I won't be able to get near MWO at all. Thanks a damn bundle, PGI... Or more like NO THANKS! Four bloody days isn't damn enough for this event, what with Presidents' Day weekend in the USA! There are many who have to share their damn computers in order for several people to be able to play, and apparently PGI once again fails to consider for this! PGI, MAKE YOUR DAMN EVENTS AT LEAST ONE WHOLE WEEK LONG AT THE MINIMUM IF YOU DON'T WANT PEOPLE ANGRY OVER SUCH RESTRICTIVE TIMEFRAMES!!! QUIT DOING PEOPLE OUT OF THESE EVENTS WITH YOUR ARROGANCE!!! NOT EVERYONE HAS EXCLUSIVE ACCESS AT A 'ONE PERSON TO ONE PC' RATIO!!! Posted Image

Imagine if they could get the AI code working even a little enough to be equivalent to a newbie PUG, and could randomly seed some of the quick play matches with a "golden" AI mech they gave a random drop to for kill or kmdd on. Like a golden goose egg.

I had a match like this yesterday in solo queue. The enemy was behaving like bots. Taking pathways I never saw any player take (because it would be suicide), some of them just shot randomly and not on us, some just stood there (but clearly alive, because they rotated their torsos). It was the most weird thing I saw in this game after ~9000 matches.

I asked russ if they were testing some bots, but he said no.

Our team was really wondering, we even tried to get someone of them to talk on global chat, but none of them did. I felt sorry for them Posted Image
