According to the next patch's notes, flamers are going to be able to deliver heat to a target. I always thought they did, so this caught me by surprise Posted Image

Anyone looking forward to trolling other mechwarriors with flamer builds? My Firestarter will be crazy annoying it seems!

Well as long as they never rise heat over a point, like lava, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Will they have an actual use? Mby , depends on how the whole heat thing and the scale of many flamers turns out, still could be fun :) .

They did, but it wasn't instant, it had a ramp up (the same ramp up you get while shooting them with a different multiplier).

Now, they may instantly apply some of that heat, without any exponential gain to fuss around with.
