I'd Love To See Some New Match Modes, But...

...I don't think that's what the community actually wants.
Just as a primer, I might be a Battletech fan, but I got my start not at an LGS, but from the Mechwarrior computer games. My getting into Battletech was mainly due to disappointment with Mechwarrior 4 and the huge lull between it and whatever would be it's successor. I've loved the single player campaigns from the Mechwarrior series... Multiplayer, not so much. That being said, I've been raised with objectives that aren't necessarily "Kill everything", focusing instead on getting the job done. The few times that I have played multiplayer games online, my favourite match types tend to be Capture the flag or holding territory. I'd love to see all sorts of match types. Fortress defences similar to CW, but with skewed numbers for one team... hide-and-seek operations... Escort one player (Like the president mission from TFC)... the list goes on.
...but in MWO, I've noticed that over the years, almost every map mode that isn't just "Skirmish", players gripe about the goal of the game not being "Kill everything". Players in lights and mediums don't B2B when it's being captured, and act like it's a surprise when they lose the match. Doubly so in Community Warfare, where the entire point was to have objective based fighting, but destroying objectives only led to base rushing, and making kills more valuable lead to dropship farming. A no-win scenario mostly brought on by players who game the system for C-bills, and the shift mainly due to players not being able to accept (nor being fairly rewarded for) objective based gameplay outside of "Kill'em all".
My question being, do you think that MWO needs match modes outside of Skirmish? Do you think that the player base would ever react positively to anything other than "Deathmatch" in a multiplayer game?

The problem mainly relies upon the fact that the CBill and XP payouts for an objective based win are absolute s*** in comparison to just simply killing the enemy.

MW4 had CTF mode and it was very fun to play.

CTF entirely relied on respawns though. That's what you're forgetting.
I didn't forget. Respawning is doable in MWO. The rewards simply has to be heavily focused on the objective, which is the win condition.

I liked respawn too, but the thing is that you're going to be fighting people that wants respawning limited to CW.
So, I don't know what to tell you.

There are also some who don't even want it in CW...
Basically, the neckbeards are going to call Bandit a CoDKiddie or something to that effect.
