Yeah, the Mad Dog is the only Clan mech to actually receive buffs that matter.

The ST buffs are decent for making the non-3M ST's viable choices, but it's the CT quirks... Oh, the CT quirks.

My Mad Dog will dance.

Personally, I'm not terribly impressed.

Now, you can Sword and Board the 3M ST with the C-ST, to make a more durable mech with a large AC or 3 Lasers, but why would you ever take the non 3M or C STs?

They're not perfectly balanced, no.

But they ARE a significant buff to the current Mad Dog.

I'd like to see better balanced omnipods, but frankly I gave up on that a LONG time ago, and won't waste tears on it.

I'm just happy to see the mech itself getting some gravy, however it does it.

Maybe now we'll see something other than 6 hardpoint Splat Dogs and LRM-5 boats.

Kind of doubt it, though.

I dunno. 4xSRM6 may be worth using? 15% cooldown bonus, no ghost heat.

that still triggers Ghost heat, all SRM's are linked. Worse, it triggers Ghost heat at srm6 heat values, and its still just using 2x3m torsos.

4srm6 can use the A and Prime ST's for 4m and 15%CD, with no Ghost heat.
