With this time jump possibly being as big of an event as the initial clan invasion. Meaning that there will have to be a significant amount of Mechs to be added to help with the time frame. But with some of the prices dropping a bit withClan tech seeming to be come around the same price (real $$$ wise) as Innersphere, I see a large pack system (money grab?) set up a little less then the original packs.
The Idea would be a possible pack that would release 4 of each faction one per class. Offering some Inner sphere Omnimechs and some not yet introduced or later Clan designs or popular chassis.
Package example of a list:
$20 - Owens - IS Light Mech
$40 - Stooping Hawk - Clan Medium Mech
$60 - Thanatos - IS Heavy Mech
$80 - Madcat Mk.II - Clan Assault Mech
$100 - Cougar - Clan Light Mech
$120 - Bushwacker - IS Medium Mech
$140 - Nova Cat - Clan Heavy Mech
$160 - Templar - IS Assault Mech
Now obviously some might be not like that some Mechs are so expensive. But look at the Clan Wave 1 packages with the Timberwolf and Direwolf, popularity sells and PGI will try to make the most they need/can.
-Other option is possible to have to have Clan and Innersphere specific package's but having 8 for each would require I feel a lot more development time and larger patch on drop date..If they have the time for that great and could add the files at intervals and allow them to be unlocked all on a certain date.
To make up the difference now from not charging $240 max they could also maybe offer addon's for $15 to $20. Or just other options to put in the list above These options could include...
Light: $20 each
Fire moth - Clan Light Mech
Viper - Clan Light Mech
Solitaire - Clan Light Mech
Osiris - IS Light Mech
Medium: $30 each
Uziel - IS Medium Mech
Hellspawn - IS Medium Mech
Conjurer - Clan Medium Mech
Heavy: $40 each
Argus - IS Heavy Mech
Ryoken II - Clan Heavy Mech
Assault: $60 each
Fafnir - IS Assault
Sunder - IS Assault
Longbow - IS Assault
Hauptmann - IS Assault
Blood Asp - Clan Assault
Supernova - Clan Assault
Feel free to add to the list, I know some are rather older designs and some are newer. I would prefer newer designs if possible. I know a decent amount of common knowledge on Battletech history, but there is still LOTS to know as I have only been playing since Mechwarrior 4. So if there is popular mechs I am missing here let me know!
What do you guys predict PGI would do if they jump the timeline a few years to a decade out?
