Do (S), (C) and regular count as 3 separate chassis required to obtain mastery?

Because (C) and regular has it's xp counted together

So if I will I need 5 chassis or regular, (C) and (S) will be enough?

Ignore any letters inside parentheses, they are the same variant.

The I Invasion, S Special or C Champion are all the same base variant, just with an additional bonus.
They count towards the same EXP pool.

You will need 3 different variants (and not multiple of the same I, S or C variant)

if you dont have any champ mechs just use trials. for heros i alternated between my jenner iic, ctf-im, and hunch iic.frankly its a misnomer any mech with a letter designation other than c seems to be counted as a hero (even loyalty mechs).
