Just a dumb question about something that has probably already been answered.
Why are the weapon sounds louder when you are spectating other players after you're killed?
Why do your own weapons seem to have different volume levels?
ie. I fire my lasers once, very loud. I fire them again as soon as they cool down, super quiet. I have noticed this mostly with pulse lasers.

First off, when you're spectating, you are no longer inside your mech. All of the soundproofing benefits that have been built into your mech's cockpit are gone (with your mech). Although you're viewing from inside someone else's cockpit, you aren't actually there, you're outside, so sound is louder.
Secondly, when your weapons heat up they affect your soundproofing, especially if you're using FF armor. A hot weapon's noise will more easily bypass your mech's soundproofing barriers. Cool weapons/cool mechs mean better soundproofing performance, resulting in quieter-sounding weapons.
Seriously, though, I have no idea why. It could just be your sound card.

Yeah either I'm very unobservant or the issue is localized to your PC. Maybe try contacting support

I have several other players tell me the same thing. not really a problem, just thought it was weird.
EasyPickings, As I read your post, I thought that you were serious and knew what you were talking about. but I doubt that much thought went into this particular part of the game.
