Hello all.

Im not a huge fan of events due to the poor behaviour that ensues, but I really quite enjoyed the Valentines one.

It seemed to me that it was business as usual. No raging, ramboing, camping, whining, finger pointing belly aching, diva'ing etc (by none I mean no more than the usual seen in T2)

I guess it was down to the requirements being low that noone felt pressurised in having to do well.

Anyone else feel the same way or was it the usual event playstyle horror story for you?

As the conditions were pretty much "play well enough in a certain weight class/mode and play long enough" in a nutshell, there wasn't much to encourage any silly behaviour.

I had to play in a Medium though, and I never play Mediums. So that was a breath of fresh air. It wasn't a bad experience but going back to never playing Mediums again...

That said I only resumed playing a few weeks ago, I stopped pre-Clan Invasion. Around when the Gold mechs were going up on pre-order. I haven't had much experience with events here but it does feel a bit lazy. It's basically just cheevos to aim for and some extra rewards.

That said I wouldn't mind having some of these as dailies. Might encourage people to try out different classes and widen their view. They might even find new love!

I agree with the OP. really good event, I didn't see any of the typical event behaviour and I got to dust off some mechs I haven't played with in a while (I had forgotten how much fun the stock arrow is!).

I also had an incentive to play faction play for the first time in I don't know how long and (shock!!!!) actually enjoyed it.
