I plan to once I get it more stable. Getting about 110fps on ultra settings on pretty much all maps, but...getting random game crashes mid match. And it's only happening on MWO. Not sure what the deal is yet, gunna play around with the nvidia control panel a bit more. Weirdest thing is it only crashes on real matches, not on the testing grounds. :/ Anyway I'll give you some performance stats once I get the stability thing figured out.

My brother is offering me his unused msi radeon r7 360 2 gig video card and a 600watt Corsair cx600 power supply. Is it worth taking the free 2gig card or is it just too far behind at this point? I am looking for a max mwo graphics machine.

Also I'm switching from a laptop to a pc so I'll need a monitor. Any preferences?

I've been experimenting with using my brother's parts for a $800ish machine or just going all out and doing $1200-$1500 machine. I'm just starting my research this week so any pointers or opinions welcomed. Thanks!

I run an A10 APU which is essentially an AMD processor with an integrated R7, if you want to run at 1080 you'll be looking around medium settings for a steady 30+ fps. R7s essentially run at 720-high, 1080-mid/low for modern games.

You're going to want a better card to run MWO with 1080p 60+ fps, otherwise you can probably lower the resolution a bit to get 60fps. If the machine you build is going to have a motherboard with multiple graphic card pci x16 slots, then I guess it could be your extra backup card for extra monitors. Powersupply should probably be fine though. That being said you can build a decent machine for hitting those requirements within the $650 - $900 price range. If possible, see if you can find a refurbished monitor, they're often 1/2 the cost of a new one and perform exactly the same. I found a normally $300 monitor for about $125 this way.
