Hello everyone,

since Patch i encounter severe FPS loss on all maps (sometimes more, sometimes less). Before patch i played with around 45-60 fps (V-Sync enabled) at 1920x1080, custom settings at High/Medium with FXAA.
Now i get drops to 15-20 fps depending on the situation. I had to lower the resolution to 1280x720 or set everything to low and disable AA to get rid of these problems.

System specs: i5 4570, 8 GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD7850 (2GB), Windows 7 Home 64bit

I know that system is not top notch but it is just a major difference since Feb 16th.
I already deleted my shaders cache. Gonna do a full re-install now and keep you updated (no repair tool because Steam.)

Roll back your display drivers to the latest pre-crimson drivers. The crimson drivers don't like MWO at all.

You want 15.11. (November 2015)

My system is largely identical - i5 4690k, 7850, 8gb RAM, and it is silky smooth.

Thank you, i will try that.

/edit: Just saw that there is a hotfix out. I'll try that before doing a rollback. Maybe gets rid of the flickering in Map Vote as well.

My R9 280X runs MWO very well with the Crimson 16.1.1 Drivers - they released the Hotfix now as WHQL Driver but still named it hotfix.

whql-64bit-radeon-software-crimson-16.1.1-win10-win8.1-win7-feb12 is the newest to be found here:

Im having same issues since the patch. Never had any major fps problems but now it ocasionaly drops from stable 50-60 with vsync on to 30 fps. When it drops down to 30 it stays stable at that rate but the game acts like a slideshow, very strange.

Havent changed the drivers long time, everything was fine before but I guess ill try the new ones if nothing changes.

Fixed the issues. Hotfix disabled the flickering, thanks again.
AND i figured out the patch had enabled DX11 - normally i play with DX9. Now it's all smooth with High settings again.
Derp....

/edit: seems to be fixed with the MWO Hotfix now as well

Yep just like Horace here patch changed from dx9 to dx11 and I started having these weird fps issues. Changed it back to dx9 and everything is smooth again,

Strange seeing dx11 can bring problems and I run on radeon 280x. Instead getting an improvement on newer dx version I got problems :(.

Have had fps and connection issues since the hot patch, nothing else I run has an issue. Not going to change things either for one game, that should be fixed. Tired of hobbling my machine with old versions of apps for this game because they can not get basics right.

Please fix it right.
