When the Euro server was introduced, I had a ping to it of 96.
A few months ago, it had degraded to 120.
A month ago it was 140.
Now it's 160.
I'm not seeing this progressive deterioration in ping in any other online games that I play.
Please check the service delivery being provided by your server hosts. I feel they may be deprioritising MWO bandwidth in their service center.

Agreed, it has gotten worse. Knowing some about coding and stuff, there can be causes. Hosting might be reducing the stats you can have on your site or cut processing power(if on shared servers, I've seen them chop it by half, it is still reduced even today). Also, the more code this game has in it, the bigger the game, and thus after each patch, you see a small reduction in speed(I have, anyway).
Things that could be done: If the map voting code takes up more room then choosing at random, I'd get rid of map voting, takes the fun out of it anyway. Also, if quirks take up a lot of code, it might help to start removing them, but then pgi would have to buff certain weapons, flamers and mg would need more range for sure. Bigger Maps are bad for performance as the game has to load more stuff. Finally, they might want to see if any upgrades are available for processing speed, etc. Sometimes hosting has different levels of service.

Ping is the same for all Servers since they started to show it so it may be an Internet Provider Specific Thing...?

Being an Aussie player I have always had to deal with high pings it has been so since I started online gamind but before the Euro servers were introduced, NA was pinging 180+ for me. Once Euro and Oceanic were introduced the ping has steadily been rising, Euro was always 300+ now upwards of 500 and NA is usually around 250 sometime venturing over 400. These sorts of pings are causing delays in zoom of up to 3 or so seconds and reticle hit indication by a similar time, not to mention I have to increase lead time for balistics. It is frustrating seeing my targets walking in place for seconds at a time and have me miss a shot and skipping across the battlefield even at close range >100m. This is forcing me to only play on Oceanic servers and the likelyhood of me having a decent CW match is in ever decresing probability.

PGI will do what they always do, let some dumb ***** make a map with stupid bug carapaces on it (that have no reason to be there if you know anything about battletech), release more mechs, charge us money, and not fix a damn thing.
