Hello guys,

Today in a match, two of my teammates are left against a disconnected player because well obviously others are dead and then one of them were stripping both arm and a leg before destroying the it...

... and then in the chat, one of the opponent said "Report for exploiting" and I don't understand in what way was he exploiting, I mean, I dont see him doing anything out of the Rules and Regulations but just farming for extra cbill on an afk.

Or does he meant for the afk player?

Nothing to exploit, nowhere in CoC does it say you HAVE to kill a mech efficiently. He did the right thing IMO by making the most from that AFK. There is nothing to EXPLOIT, making the MOST CBILLS per match isnt an exploit its just making the most of your play time and quite intelligent honestly.

The AFK has more reason to be reported then the guy killing him.

BTW, nice finish on that game earlier bud. Finished most of the team and my own dirty work! Keep up the killing in the MAD!

yep strip that disco one component at a time if you have time that is... usually with others closing in rake some dmg across it and get your free headshot

Sadly you cant do headshot on DC anymore cause I saw him trying to get a headshot but it just didnt registered to the mech lol Posted Image

Selfish players can farm a disco for a lot of component destructions and free damage. Generous players will let every tag the disco and then pop its head to max the salvage income for the whole team.

In neither case is there any exploiting involved.

The hard part is when they have ammo in the legs and torso's. Sometimes they just go boom, when taking off the first leg.Posted Image

Since there has not been repair and rearm in years, this is a good way to let the someone get some C-bills and xp. Myself, I just pop them in the rear, depending on the build, XL or not XL.

I had too many AFK mechs suddenly come alive when trying to farm them. It is funny watching an atlas coming to life and Boom there goes the locust infront of him.

Nope, he was on his last mech and it was a pug so it probably had something to do with that as well. Needless to say he was their last player alive...

For me personally, the players farming xp from a DC'ed/AFK are the lesser of the two evils, at least they bothered to actually take part in the match!.

He was obviously disabling the enemy mech with precision shots so it could not fight back. Totally legit.

that's not reportable, it was just someone being pissy. Don't worry about it, it's not against the rules

As I remember Pgi had issues with doing just this to increase leader board points. I don't remember what they ever did as they said "were looking into it".

He's probably talking about the AFK player not you two, myself I'd go for the cheap head shot, rather than the C-bills

What would they be looking into? What if your marksmanship was bad and it took a bunch of accidental component destructions before you could finally bring the mech down???

It's true though

With a few exceptions this community is actually pretty inviting and welcoming. Generally if a player has questions and such they're answered by other players fairly quickly.

It goes without saying that if you dont have an open economy you can't exploit it because then there isnt one, just a grind.
