Anybody else still having issues with AMD gpu's and MSAA? Ever since I got my r9-390 I've been dismayed to find that using MSAA with this game (and this game alone) I see just the bare wireframe of all weapons effects.
I've seen multiple references to this issue on this forum, with claims that it was patched out in august, but I haven't seen any confirmation from anyone else if it was fixed. I've also heard that the infamous amd 15.3 crimson drivers were partly responsible, but that too has allegedly been hotfixed with 16.1.
Soooo anybody know what's up? Is there a userconfig workaround?

the hotfixed crimson drivers fixed some things, but are still really glitchy with MWO. I had to revert to 15.11 (the last set of drivers pre-crimson) because of numerous problems - most notably that I get D3D device removed crashes with the crimson drivers, even the most recent version.
Also, in some situations, I can see the ground polygon borders (which is really strange), and lots of other weird visual artifacts.

Yes i get it too, it seems like a lighting issue for me. You only see the lines of laser with no lighting effects, PPCs are barely visible. ACs are all but invisible and there are no trails on missile fire. Which sucks because everything else looks so smooth and awesome. I'll try reverting to the older drivers and see if that solves the problem. I noticed the change about 3 or more months ago and have been hoping PGI would fix it in every patch. But every patch i try MSAA again and it's still the same.

Should we all submit tickets to PGI? Are they aware that this is a thing?

You should. I have. The more they get, the more detail they get. Include dxdiag results. It'll help them fix it faster (and show the scale of the problem)
