Either add a favorites filter, or allow filtration of invalid mechs in the mech selection UI.

As someone with quite a few mechs I would love a last 3 mechs used and favorites filter for when I'm leveling a new chassis

Yes, a filter you can modify yourself would be fantastic.
PGI, please do that. :)

What we need is One Vote ( Against ) the map that would be bad for our currently selected Mech.

Great idea, I would love to be able to pick four or five mechs for a hotbar, so I can quickly re-drop if I'm grinding.

I have badly wanted a "Favorites" filter on the mech select options for years. I can't keep track of which of my mechs are maxed out. I'd love to be able to mark all of my mechs that are fully skilled and moduled and set to be all that they can be!

we had something similar in early beta but it was removed, players wanted a "better" ui.

this thread has an example, look to the lower left hand side and notice the 4 mechs, that was a quick launch favorites.

Good god yes , especially an option to filter out all invalid mechs too.

Seems like a basic option that should have been there from the start.

Invalid option would be very nice.

As for "Favorite Filter", what about a category that's always expanded for Favorited mechs?
  • If you select "All" filter, the Favorites Category is populated with all your favorite mechs.
  • If you select "Medium" filter, the Favorites Category is only populated with your favorite medium mechs. etc. for other weight classes.
  • If you select a weight class that does not have any Favorite mechs, there will not be a Favorites Category.

Yeah, we did want a better UI, and I'm still bitter about it.

Give us our quick launch mechs already.

The previous UI was ugly and a bit clunky, but very functional and quick to use. New UI is "better looking" but really slow to use and not user friendly at all. I quit the game for nearly 3 months when UI2.0 first came out as the Mechlab was appalling. It's slightly better now but still has dozens of design flaws that could easily be fixed. Like clicking skills should take you directly to your current mechs skill tree, and then removing all the UI prompts there.

Yeah you used to be able to "checkmark" 4 mechs as favourites and they would show up in the left side of the UI. Now there's lots of clicking and scrolling.

Yes, that used to be great.
