I'm still holding out for the Wasp as a "Classic" release along with the Stinger and Valkyrie.

I could take a pass on the Valkyrie, but Stinger / Wasp for sure!

A Mackie would be wonderful. Urbie needs a mentor, after all.

Yay, another redundant mech that needs unique arm positioning (I don't think there is a mech in game with a jager/normal arm combo) to be viable. Maybe even some hardpoint inflation, since I think one variant only carries 3 weapons. of course, it does have a larger engine than other 100 ton mechs we have, but that will be downsized to make room for the obligatory 3 LPL.

I am not on the "this game needs new weapons" train but if they added weapons that actually add something new to the game like mines or things like that, that would be great. Blazers I think they are called(learned about them on this forum) may be such an addition that adds something new. Its basically two large lasers and would help mechs like this.

I'm thinking DLC that adds a PVE "Expedition" to some far flung world that adds a new map, the Mackie, and the Blazer, some intro story and other map like settings of course to, as well as a couple new characters. :) Not that this game has any characters yet anyway. :)

The pilot gets stranded on a world with no mech and has to track down an old Mackie hidden in a cave or bunker, then restart it and pilot it to an old Star League weapon depot and arm it with a Blazer then has fight his way to an evac point with the girl he rescued on the way who is just smokin hot. Best DLC ever, send my cheque in the mail. :)

Wasp/Stinger need to be a two for one pack. But I would totally get it.

But I want a Phoenix Hawk more.

How about:
Wasp/Stinger
Valkyrie
Phoenix Hawk
Crusader

For a "Veritech Pack".

Oof course if grognards insist on one of each weight, it'll run the symmetry, but we're could lose the Valkyrie for a Longbow

I still want this, my intro is getting dated now, and my comments about unseen are obviously non-applicable at this juncture. The XTRO's have some of the most unique looking mechs on all of sarna. Mackie included, it's in volume one.

1) The majority of Mackie variants had only Upper Arm actuators on both arms. There're both symmetrical and asymmetrical variants (as for the use of actuators).

2) Off the top of my head, both CN9-AH and CN9 "Yean-Lo-Wang" have Upper Arm actuator in their right arm and Upper Arm actuator, Lower Arm actuator and Hand in their left arm. And both those 'Mechs have been in MWO for years.

I was talking about the pics of the Mackie that have a true 'gun arm' like the Jager or Blackjack that extends straight out from the shoulder, while the second arm was a 'normal' one. Not talking about actuators- just arm positioning.

Where is the problem then? Both arms more or less in the same height and with the same movement. There would be only a slight artistic difference between the left and the right arm:

I am not sure if it would be worth the effort.

Plus, all variants have almost identical hardpoints.

Well that didn't stop the Wolfhound / Crab / Black Knight from appearing - so much variation in those mechs!

If they put the Mackie in game, I want this version (from the City Tech book, I think):

Sure, but those 'Mechs are being produced in 3050s. The Wolfhound can be interesting for FedCom fans, the Black Knight for FWL fans.

The Mackie is extinct for all practical purposes in 3050 and I think that the number of Terran Hegemony fans is not too high. And I wonder if the rest of the playerbase wouldn't consider the Mackie to be outmoded.

I mean, allocating resources makes sense only if you can reasonably expect that people would buy that product. I am not against the Mackie, I am just not sure if it would be a wise choice.
