It's like 5 am in the morning. What am I thinking about? Mech warrior if you must know. I have a full day ahead of me at work but all that's on my mind is mechwarrior. My Ebon Jag sits behind a turned off laptop screen. Dark...it must be so dark. The loadouts...so many loadouts I need to tinker with. I hope today fly's by so I can jump in the cockpit of my Ebon Jags.

Well it doesn't hurt that the forums are far more interesting than the game itself either.
I haven't played in a week but I still jump on here almost daily. I was waiting for this patch to start back up but after seeing what they did with flamers I think I'll wait till that's fixed.
OP: Ballistics and flamers, things are really heating up around here.

Im not quite addicted, but I do enjoy a few games each night during the week and multiple games on the weekend.
@OP I always found 1xCuAC10, 1xCuAC5 and 5xSpls (possibly 6 but I cant remember) to be a fun EBJ build

Nah, I gave up on salty a long time ago. The game is what it is, and I accept the fact that PGI will never really improve it.
The forums though, dynamic - ranges from pure hate to ridiculous laughs and the occasional actually interesting conversation. If it wasn't for my pals still playing and needing an extra to fill their drops I'd probably just uninstall the game and just enjoy the forums.
As far as forum-warriors go - well at least theirs role warfare here! XD

There isn't enough for a real hook in this game. Fails hard on replay-ability after the novelty wears off. Redundant mechs, stale team death match, pointless/lack of end game content. Gameplay is good but without other things like a real player chosen skill tree, economy, fully fleshed out CW, it becomes meh. Those issues persist going on years now and playing this weekend just solidified that reality.

Ah...some if this is sad to read. I understand sometimes this game can get a little boring. That's usually after I play all day but still. I have been a member since idk mid 2012. Yeah I know I don't have alot of forum posts...but each time I log on those first 4 or 5 games is what gets it for me. Yes it can get very repetitive. But still...what other game is like this one? I got 3 more hours still I'm in my Cockpit. Let's f*!% some mechs up.

I like my drop ship half full too
I started with MW2 from a close out bin at WalMart while recovering from surgery. Coming into this game took a while to get decent mechs leveled up and outfitted, even with just buying what seemed to OP. It took longer to learn to build ALPHA mechs and shoot 2 then run (sad it is so simple to double your damage output). I have yet to see anything worse in this game than what befalls other games over time, and I do look forward to playing it.
Thank you for a positive fun post.

I love Battletech. (Which is why I still track the forums after uninstalling the game in hopes of seeing some glimmer of hope towards fixing this... game.)
I almost re-installed the other day. (And then I remembered the pin perfect convergence laser vomit and ECM, so I called my sponsor and she sat me down we talked until that feeling went away.)
If you're still enjoying it- good on you.
